I was there in 1971....not one building there. Just the lighthouse. Bedouins came by. They had bought their first vehicle. Dahab means gold. Can you imagine the beach there ....golden.

I was also their 91 and stayed in the Bedouin village..and had a padlock for a wooden door it was about 7ft long and 4ft wide..

Nice video. Like all places, Dahab is ruined by commercialism. Used to live on $5 us a day 30 years ago there. 4 egyptian pounds a day for a room. How much today??

The Red Sea. is red because of red corals and red. Plankton.Moses drowned the Pharoah here. chariot remains are underwater.

I hate tattooed people and hoped so much to find normal people over there. But that was a fallacy The nights are very cold and uncomfortable by 9 degrees. The water in december is with 19 degrees much too cold.

I think that has to do with tourism. The nights are cold because you are near the water. In 2011 it was quite and much better in Egypt, after the revolution. With the Covid pandemic, I wonder how it is now. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I still get travel warnings from the embassy about terrorism and military presence at Sinai and borders. 😔
