Dahlia Flower Growing Time Lapse - Tuber To Bloom (90 Days)

This time-lapse shown growth stages of a dahlia plant from a tuber/bulb to blooming flowers. The dahlia bulb was planting in a pot, which sprouted after 2 weeks. The plant was growing very strong and fast. It started the first bud around day 40th then bloomed into a huge yellow flower of about 10-inch diameter. Subsequently, lots of flowers were blooming, but of smaller sizes, probably due to lack of plant foods and small planting area.

I put my first dahlias ever, into the ground about 20 days ago. To see those green and burgundy spears pushing up to the sky make my heart feel just the way this video does. Why the heck did this make me tear up? Watching the first flower start to fade and then the second flower start to shine. The music and the beautiful choreography of the petals opening up and folding back is one of the most wonderful things I've seen on the internet in quite some time.

First 2 weeks, I only watered it 2or 3 times. After that, I watered it whenever the soil looked dry, typically one time every 2 days and everyday when it started blooming.

No, we didn't; however, we used potting mix soil that might be premixed fertilizer in it.
