i joke with my friend about dahlia being the devil incarnated, but in truth i don't fully hate her. this animatic sums up all my feelings on her. she is vile, she's a sweetheart, she's wicked, she's a victim, she's vengeful, she's a princess, she's a demon, she's an angel, she's a headache and she's a rose in it's purest form. All roses have thorns, but they form over time. thank you for this bit of art.

0:39 Dahlia's backstory here is so good. In game she insists that everything that happened was her choice, but I think it's a bit much to claim that she convinced her father to ditch her sister when she was a child and that she seduced a grown man at 14. Her childhood life was really just terrible, through little fault of her own, but she still takes the credit.

I like to view it as an idea that Dahlia wanted to reclaim her power over the men who hurt her by killing them, And when the original men that hurt her like Terry Fawles and her father come into play, I like to imagine that it wasn’t her fault as she was a child, but takes credit for the evil just so she can feel like she had some control, and then continues that cycle.

Your English is perfect! I animated on 9 FPS (frames per second) and it takes a lot of trial and error with other works to figure out the spacing between each pose to make it look natural. Recording yourself doing the actions helps a lot too for referencing! Ideas is kind of hard to explain. They come from anywhere. For example, the flashing images with the umbrella wasn’t planned, I did it after recently learning about 3D zoetropes. Watch as many movies and tv shows, read books, sit upside down, go explore the world, learn new stuff! Everything will be stored in your brain and come up when you’re making your own art. (My Digital Hallucination animatic for example, the spinning room was inspired from a scene in High School Musical 3. Ideas come from everywhere!) Hope this helps! The most important thing to learn is to just create things! You’ll learn from your mistakes, and don’t be afraid to start over!
