Hi Al. It is Dahon Visc d18. Yes, we are satisfied but this model has quite a big gears 53/39 at the front and 11/28 cassette at the back making this bikes not a perfect option for big climbers that we faced. Also it could be a good idea to swipe custom types which are 1.35 for a wider ones.

@@olgakuznetsova2979 Thanks for the video. I just bought a Dahon Speed 8. Love the bike so far. There have been times when I really wanted to go on a bike ride, but my bike was at home, or I didn't feel like having my go to bike on my car bike rack. Nowadays, I keep my Dahon in the back of my car and ride when I get off of work, or ride whenever I want to.

@@olgakuznetsova2979 On another note, I was thinking about getting a Brompton, but I am happy that I went for the $600 Dahon. The price point met my wants and needs. The bike is very well built and has great components. Also, I like the 20 inch wheels compared to the 16. The racks and accessories are way cheaper for a Dahon or a Tern also. Also, my Dahon has a 4130 chromoly frame, which is better than a high tensile steel. I managed to stay under $800 for the bike and accessories such as a rear rack, rear market style pannier bag, the mounting kit for a front luggage rack, and a luggage rack. If I would have went for even the most basic model Brompton, I would have spent $1,000 with no rack, no front mounting bracket, no luggage rack, no pannier or bag, smaller wheels and only 3 speeds. The Dahon folds nicely and worked great during a recent trip on BART, our subway system. So far, very happy.

Hello, the video they made is very good. I can ask you a question? We are analyzing buying 2 Dahon D18 bicycles (for my wife and for me) to travel around the world. Can you climb the mountain ascents well? Are they really strong to support saddlebags and a lot of weight? Thank you

Hi Marcelo! For sure. As for ascents - if you are strong enough for gear ratio 53/39 at front and 11-28 at rear - its ok, but if not it worth to consider swap cassette and front sprockets to e.g 50/34 and 11-30. As for cargo - we had some issues with stock bike racks. They are not so big and I think are not designed for penny saddlebags (heels touches bags with every pedal stroke), so we traveled with small ones and even they were shifted behind to prevent heel touches. There is also an option to mount rack at the front. Check Dahon site for it.
