I am looking to add a few cameras to our house. Our neighbor turned me on to your videos. And then I watch this video and wonder why I have never met you yet with that bay sitting under the covers. With all the VW event I go to I would think I would have seen you at least once. I need to protect my camper and VW so looking to get some kind of cameras.

Howdy Neighbor, I've got a nice pile of car show trophies, but havent really been going to events in the last several years.. Bug-In, Dubs Along the Rockies, Volkswagens on the Green, Brews and Busses used to be regular stops of mine but life got too busy and most of the local clubs (edition 719, DubZentrum, etc) either kinda faded away or went off in directions I was not interested in (MetroDubs). Dahua 2MP Starlight cameras are what I'd suggest right now, some of the best quality you can get and quite affordable.

nayrproductions if I am only wanting to run about 3 or 4 cameras in the front of the house what switch would you suggest? And neighbor said to use a desk top cup as the recording/storage device. Yeah I am part of Eastern Plains Dub Club. We put on a few events (poker run, helping the VWOTG, Christmas cruise) my squareback is down right now getting a ej22 swap.

Hi there, I have a Dahua 16 channels NVR with 4mp Dahua cameras but I can't even get the PTZ to work - I have tried different PTZ profiles as as well as setting the PTZ to 'Remote' rather than 'Local' . I have also tried doing it while connected straight to the NRV, from a local computer as well as from a remote computer however I had no luck. I have set up pretty much everything else apart from PTZ. Any suggestions please?

I have been trying to look for this Optex OPO8 Motion Sensor, I can't seem to find it. where can i purchase one? after reading your review on ipcams I purchased SD29204S-GN, would the sensor be compatible

just about any motion sensor should work, assuming you can get power to it... I am using this specific model and powering it with the same 24vac source as the camera

Awesome, thanks for the reply back.. is it a simple process to link the sensor to the camera? does the camera have to officially support auto tracking for it to work? is there any videos or links i can read up on that can guide me.. thanks for your input

I am using the cameras 2 alarm inputs, they are simple dry contacts.. when shorted to ground it triggers the camera to go to a preset.. any PTZ with alarm IO should be able to do this.
