I quite admire Daichi Ikarashi ❤❤; he's a great ballet prodigy imho ❤❤. I love all his performances; particularly his Diana and Actaeon's jumps, and turns and full splits mid-air, which are truly amazing ❤❤! Ikarashi's clearly going places for sure ❤❤. I remember when Daichi Ikarashi and two other dancers were given their 1st contracts with the Royal Ballet when they graduated from the Upper School of the Royal Ballet. All three have come a long way in such a short time.

While his technique is excellent, what really stands out to me is his obvious love of performing before an audience. The stage under a spotlight is where he wants to be.

I understand. (He reminds me of the young Polunin). Daichi Ikarashi has it all: proportions, flexibility, strength, musicality, as well as a particular grace and softness, and of course a real connection with the audience. He's now a Soloist with the Royal Ballet and I am sure his trajectory continues upwards!

Asian ballet male and female dancers have great advantage because they have by nature the perfect body type for ballet. They are slender with agility, flexibility and strength. It is not a coincidence that they excel in all sort of gymnastic and acrobatics as well.
