A bunch of people fucking hate him because hes useless and ignore all the bullshit thrown at him just for plot sake Like daddy issues exist, but the kiryu beat him a couple of times, so he made it worse LMAO Kiryu beating him into submission was fucked up ngl, like Kiryu knew how it was like to not want to be a chairman and be apart of the Yakuza yet he forced it upon Daigo, who DIDNT want the role at all Also dude saw his best friend, Mine, die RIGHT after he woke up from a coma. In the defense of Kiryu, he has no reason to stick around for the Tojo especially after the events of 1 and 2. He is also Haruka's only parental guardian and he can't be a yakuza while focusing on his kid.

To be sorta fair...Knocking Ryuji on his ass and forcing him into a fight while Kiryu fights through Omi HQ was badass despite how on paper Ryuji would fold him like origami. ...And crazy enough did enough damage to make Ryuji kind of mid against Kiryu in their first fight. Like did Daigo hit the gym before his nights of hookers and alcohol during his hedonistic years?
