When I first discovered akuma when playing in the 90's man those were the days

There's a manga called Hi Score Girl where the main female, Akira, can get 2 perfects with Zangief on Street Fighter 2 against a tournament quality level player using Akuma doing exactly the same thing here. She can also beat base Street Fighter 2 with Dhalsim using only weak kick (no direction pad either). Despite having a clearly otherworldly skill at video games, I remember discussion on manga was always like 'that's easy Daigo can do it' and pretty hilarious to see that it is obviously not easy to win at all fighting without a fireball let alone the ridiculous notion of getting 2 perfects against a high quality opponent that knows how to spam air fireballs.

One thing you dont know is, in 2X, CPU Gouki and player Gouki is DIFFERENT version, CPU Gouki is can do 2 fireball in the air while player version can only have 1, plus CPU Gouki can execute every combo in perfect frame time (like Cr.MK+ Red Fireball), player Gouki is a weaker version but still stronger than any other characters. And in 2X, there' s no Gouki or Shin Gouki, if Gouki goes to CPU. it' s Shin Gouki. if Gouki goes to player. it' s the normal one, same character, but the system will decide it automatically.

Of course I know all that. While Hi Score Girl isn't meant to be a serious discussion in fighting game techniques, it's not like it was done without any research. Akira is the equivalent of Saitama in terms of fighting game skill. She's at least stronger than the strongest TAS equivalent (I can't imagine how you'd beat Street Fighter using one button and no direction pad even with TAS). Her opponent is someone who can easily place in a high quality tournament at that time and she even said she's willing to forsake her soul to Akuma if it's enough to beat Akira. So yes, it's not Shin Akuma but a top tournament player using Akuma versus Zangief still shouldn't lose, let alone getting perfected twice in a row. They don't even really show you how Akira plays because obviously nothing she does is remotely based in reality, and I'm just pointing out that for some reason people always say Daigo can do all the stuff she did.
