I agree with you, but, the judges decided that Arkadiy's lead run was a little better. Although the russian fans also disagree with this

Saito was closer only because he was driving T-style and Arkasha was wide with a large angle. The leader is obliged to drive for the maximum score both in terms of qualification and not to complicate the chaser's ability to chase. Arkasha gave such an opportunity. When Arkasha was the chaser, he tried, according to the assignment, to go either with the same angle as the leader's or with a greater one. I think we lost a lot of great battles cuz of ignoring angle rule. It is very easy to be close if you run with T-style (with smaller angle). Unfortunately, in recent seasons, RDS have ceased to attach much importance to the T-style. It should not be close enough, it is imperative to demand to be with the same angle or more and synchronous transfers. The recipe for awesome tandem battles. In order of importance, most important to least important. 1. Angle. 2. Synchronicity. 3. Distance.

a bigger question for me is why did they even allow this car to participate, that engine is quite far back in the cabin with the firewall cut out that much.

RDS made an exception for Daigo. His performance was important to them in 2018. For the next rds season Daigo built v8 Altezza kzbin.info/www/bejne/apO7qaior8mhqsk

OMT.
