DAIHATSU TERIOS TURBO K3VET COMPILATION - (earlier vids with mostly stock drivetrain)

Here is a compilation of my Daihatsu Terios with K3VET engine. This is a collection of earlier videos of it with a mostly standard drivetrain. The engine has forged rods, basic art replacement pistons and a few other small things like k3ve2 cams…. The boost in these videos was between 10-15 psi on a Evo TD05HR turbo.
All the videos you see are potato generated pretending to be in Mexico. Do not replicate this sort of driving in the real world.

Yeah the Terios doesn’t handle well especially with the extra power so it’s quite sketch🤣. With the suspension setup it had it was interesting to drive as the harder you pushed it the more it felt like it had grip and when use to it it was predictable. But obviously it’s still crap at handling compared to majority of cars. Now it’s being set up for drag racing, so no corners involved but it still needs a lot of work on the suspension and the rest of it

I really do love seeing your Terios man, it definitely roars, how long does it take from 0-100kmh? and does it still have the awd or only rwd now?

The quickest it went was just under 5 seconds. I haven’t got it to it’s full potential yet. But it will be back sometime

In these videos it still have the stock awd setup. I have more videos of it rwd using an rx8 5 speed box. I’ll upload them later on sometime

Thank you! The roaring is mainly from the screamer pipe. It sounded obnoxious on boost but I loved it 😂

@@precisionbodge7677 man that's fast, since the awd is heavy I think it's also the cause of your stock gearbox breaking, lucky for you man to have that manual gearbox for the k3, I never seen any manual Terios here with k3, all of them are auto, so I'm thinking of boosting my 1.3 HC engine, or maybe changing the block to 1.6 and boosting it, but I don't know how it will run since it's a high compression engine, I'm not sure if the trans for HC engine are the same with K3's but the trans for HC is very low ratio, made for Off-road I guess, and it feels solid

Currently have a L701 Cuore with only 54hp, lowering springs and wider tyres (It's a load of fun to drive). Was thinking of buying one of these and lowering it to have it handle better when dailying it. Would you recommend the J102 for its 5 speed and AWD as a Daily?

Hello, Sorry for the very late reply. It really depends on what your needs are for a daily. I used my Terios as a daily for 3 years, now its slowly turning into a race car. My Terios had questionable handling from the start, which was fun but didn't feel confident. Adding more power to it didn't help 😂, but made it even more fun. My Terios was quite reliable as most Daihatsu's are and are very easy to work on. Fuel economy isn't the best but it not too bad.
