Hi. Thank you for uploading this very detailed video guide to the controller. I've recently moved into a new build house with a Daikin heat pump system and the instructions we've been provided by the builder are somewhat basic.

@@PhillGoodFactor83 yup UK, but it's a Stewart Milne home. Thanks to this video I've also made various tweaks to the system. I now have a Netatmo intelligent thermostat and radiator valves integrated to control the heating and adjusted the Weather Dependant Curve to better suit the weather in this area. Has worked fantastic so far over the winter, but still to do a cost comparison against the combi boiler we had in our previous house.

@@orion1983uk sounds like Daikin must have been doing a deal. I know of countless new estates where no one has clue how to set these systems up. I'm goinf to go at it this controller mid week. Would you mind if I shared notes here?

@@orion1983uk I liked your comment as a colleague (physics teacher) has just explained to me why the Weather Dependant Curve needs to be adjusted to suit our Irish weather. Going to take a couple days meter readings before adjusting.

hi great video about important parameters ..! i have a question please : is it possible to start manually the water pump (circulator) simply to adjust or tu tune the water flow on each loop of the circuit in order to equilibrate them ?

Yes you can do this in the actuator settings

Great video, but when discussing the LWT setpoint mode (Weather dependent OR Absolute) you say to 'obviously we select weather dependent'. I'm wondering what are the main reasons for this? BTW I'm based in the west of Ireland where our winter weather can be cold, but nothing too dramatic for the most part.

What a brilliant video which explains it so well for an absolute novice like me. Only one problem - My controller used to show many things on the menu but now only shows "Adjust date and Time" I have tried the switch off for 60 seconds trick but this does not restore the original menu. Any ideas??

Press the menu button and then hold on the info button, that should give you extended menu

Hi , very informative video. I have this system installed in a holiday property. When we aren't using the property we turn the hot water off. Will the weekly disinfection function still operate even when the hot water is turned off?

Hi, perfect video!!! Can I have question? I have first season Daikin altherma LT 8kw, split, floor heating, house need just 7kw. Domestic water set to 45C. Heating set by weather 25C output water in +15C outdoor temperature and 35C output water in -15C. So usualy output water is 28C. Problem is that output water temperature is to low and in every defrost is used bivalent source. It consume lot of energy. For 150 days (winter) is used 2400 kW by external unit and 480 by indoor unit. And final cop is 2.5. Is that cop OK? Can I reduce that bivalent source for defrosting? (disable bivalent source etc.)? Thanks

Hi Anthony, just brought a home with this system and getting g very little support from the installer. I’m an electrical engineer and would like to access engineer settings but the installer has locked the CP out. Is there a work around to access engineer mode. Thanks for your help. :)

Hi Duston, if you download the manual from the Daikin web site then this will take you through the settings.

This will depend on the design of your system. If you speak to your installer they will be able to guide you as they designed the system based on a flow temperature.

I have the same panel at home. Two of them actually, and they both stopped working at the same. There is nothing on the screen and resetting the breakers hasn't helped. Wondering if you know what I can do before calling in a repair specialist?

Hi Mate! Just a quick one. If I would like to install a system without hydrobox do you think I would be able? I mean I have a Daikin Altherma ERHQ011AA and I would like to know if I can install it with any heat exchanger or I need specificaly the hydrobox? From Daikin Altherma ERHQ011AA the hot air water is coming inside directly? Thanks in advance for your help. Much appreciation.

+Hunor Andras you will require a monobloc system if this is what you would like to do. Or you must use the hydronic with the split type outdoor unit.
