Dailey & Vincent's Grand Ole Opry Debut

New bluegrass duo Dailey & Vincent have just launched their debut album on Rounder Records, and on Dec. 29, 2007, they played their first show of their 2008 tour at the Grand Ole Opry, which is in its winter home of the historic Ryman Auditorium. Jamie Dailey, the taller one, is an alum of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. Darrin Vincent spent a decade with Ricky Skaggs. This video screened at their CD launch party at the Country Music Hall of Fame in January.

I talked with Jamie at a show a couple months ago and I heard him say that he was so scared the night this was shot that if someone would have came up to him and said "BOO" he would have jumped ten feet in the air. They sure have a good thing going. I know God will bless them because they put Him first.

God bless the Vincents and all they've done over the decades to promote bluegrass! Not only Johnny & Carolyns group "The Sally Mountain Show", but Rhonda's amazing career solo & with The Rage, Darrins career with Ricky & now with Dailey & Vincent too. AND there's a new generation comming as Rhonda's daughters Sally & Tensel now have a small fledgling bluegrass group too. Not bad for a bunch of bumpkins from the sticks of northeast Missouri!

I just found this video. My wife (then girlfriend) and I were at this show for our very first Grand Ole Opry! We were amazed at their performance and have been huge fans ever since! On a side note, we were engaged 2 days later! Thats the effect Dailey and Vincent have! Keep playing great music gentlemen!
