Daily Beat Making in Ableton | Day 30

Today marked Beat 30, the final one in this 30-day challenge. 🙌🏻 It evolved into a boom bap-style beat, and featured multiple layered drum breaks.
Join me on this rhythmical exploration as I challenge myself to create a beat 5 days a week for 30 days.
My only goal is to create a beat (drums only), then build an arrangement in 55 minutes.

My approach to every beat: No mixing, no plugins-just faders. I select the samples, arrange them in time, balance the levels, structure the track, and then bounce it.

Love the video! The only thing is, I walk away thinking how much faster this could’ve been done on an Akai MPC or something similar. Literally within minutes a strong and groove heavy track can be made in a proper drum machine.
