I have always loved to paint as a kid. As I grew up, I still loved it. Though there were no real art stores near where I lived and most of them for really expensive so I had to drop the painting. But you have inspired me to try again to paint to try and do the best in all that I do. Thank you ❤

My art teacher was the same! That’s why I didn’t pick art for my GSCE’s. As much as I like it, I couldn’t stand her extremely abstract style. We only did 1 lesson on realistic art in the two years she taught me, and she kept on saying how she’d like to be able to paint realisticly for like 40% of the lesson. I was quite good at pencil drawing (that’s what we did that day) but we never did it again. I’m just teaching myself off of KZbin and just experimenting as of now, I really like it, but such a strict and mean art teacher I have never seen before. I couldn’t stand her another 3 years sadly.

In our school we get new teachers every 2 years and it was all realistic art from class 5 to 10. (1-4 is an easier school for learning the first stuff you need for the difficult things. Reading, writing, normal math with +-*: and the numbers. It starts, when we are 5 or 6 years old.) After the 10. class (or at some schools it’s the 11. class) you have a graduation, but if you go to school 2 years longer you get a better one. And in these 2 years it was abstract with a teacher, who was an artist before he became a teacher. But I’m glad that I started with realistic AND had abstract art for two years. Maybe without the abstract teacher I never know, that I don’t like it that much. And I get never faster xD Bc I’m a slowly artist...

@@geesea8920 Hi, I'm not the person you were talking to, but GCSE means "General Certificate of Secondary Education". In England, Wales and Northern Ireland (but not Scotland), students take GCSE exams when they are 15-16 years old. People usually take around 10 GCSES - maths, English language, English literature and the sciences are compulsory, but people are usually allowed to choose the other ones. When I did my GCSEs, I chose Religious Studies, History, Geography and French (for example). Hope this helps!
