Both leagues are just struggling to keep up with the Big 10 and the SEC I'm not a fan of either conference but that's how I see this whole thing.
@patrickboren22112 жыл бұрын
The Big XII is talking about upto $65 Million per team and I know that is not close to $100 Million but the PAC and ACC are at half of that.

Gotta love how all the PAC apologists are popping out of the woodwork to defend a league which any reasonable observer would concede is in big trouble. Men's basketball is helping the B12 a lot more than people realize (hello, Baylor and Kansas, AKA the last two national champions). Baylor and Okie State put on quite a show in the B12 title game last season; I-State and No U's title showdown in 2020 was pretty compelling too. So, before the PAC apologists continue to defend their league, bear in mind that losing the LA market is more damaging to the PAC than the B12 losing TexU and No U.

I think everyone knew the new PAC deal wouldnt be good..and wont be wherever they try to go..but we still have to hope the new B12 deal lives up to the projections...if they really can get 40+ million without OU and Texas, then coaxing some PAC schools should be pretty easy...especially if UW and Oregon try to get the PAC to give them unequal revenue to get them to stay

1? oh bro im sorry, UCLA isnt gonna get blocked from joining the BIG..so no, the PAC IS losing both...2nd, look up the navigate projections youeself..THEY have the new B12 projected to make 50 million by 2029..and im pretty sure they have more resources than you do to make that projection
@CreightonRabs2 жыл бұрын
Eventually, $50M isn't unreasonable considering you're getting the Orlando/Central Florida and Houston markets with the addition of UH and UCF. Not to mention BYU's national following and Cincinnati's recent run to the CFP. So, yeah, the B12 is worth a bit more than the PAC. Granted, not as much as the B1G/SEC, but still, there's the potential for a much better deal and the PAC and even the ACC.

Sounding like a homer. You forgot to mention that 6 of the remaining 10 PAC teams have TV ratings higher than any Big 12 holdover over the past 6 years. Maybe your next homer video can dive into that. In case you missed it TV ratings / $$$ is driving all this movement.
@carsonc292 жыл бұрын
none of that seems to matter since the new PAC TV $$ projections have them making less than the new B12..but no to worry, a few of those PAC markets you boast about will fit real nice in the B12 LOL

Not so fast Kemosabe. You're using the word "seems" to be this or "seems to be that. Me thinks you are in pure conjecture mode. That's fine, just admit it. None of us knows much of anything that's happening with The Pac 12/10. Let things play out a bit, and we'll have a much clearer picture. A lot of different scenarios exist, and to say it's the Big 12 or oblivion, is a bit presumptuous at this early stage. Maybe that will occur, but maybe it won't Lots of time left. Thanks friend
@carsonc292 жыл бұрын
sure, at this point its all maybe or maybe not...but so far, nothing really seems to look in favor of the PAC staying together as they are right now..they probably wont cease to be a conference, but its feasible they could lose a few schools to the B12...

Big 12 unity...maybe now but I remember last year when Texas and Oklahoma announced they were leaving. Half the schools called the PAC 12 begging for a spot, while Iowa State and Kansas were calling up the Big 10. Only after they all said no did the Big 12 unify and add 4 group of 5 schools. PAC 12 media rights are not worth that much? Then why does the Big 12 want to add PAC 12 teams so much?

The Big 12 will add PAC schools that are "additive" in conference revenue and not "dilutive."

Take the best a leave the rest. The B12 needs to separate themselves for the PAC/MWC
@carsonc292 жыл бұрын
@@glennlewman1377 I think they already have..but adding a few solid PAC schools all but seals their fate..I wouldnt take UW or Oregon though..B12 needs programs that wont be looking for a way out from day 1...I think the PAC survives, but they will be a shell of their former self..guess the same can be said about the B12.....we have to create a whole new identity..

@nate Calhoun. Please provide a solid source that ISU and KU "were calling the Big 10 (and received a NO". I think you are confusing speculation with actual action. ISU and KU were always gong to be speculated to go to Big 10 due to the $$$ and they were the only AAU schools in the Big 12.
