I think every main dps gets boring after a few plays, even more so if it's a hypercarry and take most time on field. Mashing the same keys, seeing the same moves, hearing the same voicelines, it all gets old very fast and that doesn't mean that the character is inherently boring. Zyox was literally moaning from hype over Neuvi's water beam for at least two banners. In contrast, people don't say supports are boring bc you just E or Q and swap. I have personally long subtituted fun for comfort when choosing an on field dps since, well, fun doesn't last forever.
