i dont quite get the sentiment that hybrid dash is suddenly losing to average aggro like fai? the matchup was even to (in my biased opinion) slighty dash favored in the past and dash didnt get worse, nor did generic aggo get a real extra tool? edit: also regarding the impact of adaptive plating: even though i dont agree with being as protective of the face up MaxV, having Adaptive would have meant TFH+Plating+ card blocks out the send packing, keeping the Crown ready to fix the hand where the induction was in hand or another hand. Additionally, not breaking chain to TFH to put a counter on pistol in the MaxV turn is just wrong, they kinda have to abuse the power of TFH at every opportunity, when fatigue is a nonconcern anyways (30+ cards in deck, both sides at like 5 ish life)

I generally agree. I definitely think that the extra one block of adaptive on the smashing-send packing turn might have been game changing. As to how dash is right now, I definitely think it's not her meta; not because of aggro or fatigue specifically, but rather because it's a brute guardian warrior meta, brutes have item destruction, guardians are a tough matchup unless you dedicate the sideboard so no space for anything else, and warriors can both race and fatigue at the same time. Fai isn't better, kassai and kayo existing are enough. Nice video Lupine, keep keeping it awesome!

@@hasshatter guardians are a reason for dash meta. The warriors are fine, kassai *can* be problematic/unfavored, but it kinda requires her to find spoils with attack react backup early, similar to boltyn. Kayo sure is not easy, but still very much fine. Like, none of those make me actively not want to play dash the same way lexi does or dromai can do.

If I said that hybrid Dash loses to Fai, that’s definitely wrong. Still a coin flip more or less but she has better tools than he does. I do think she’s disadvantaged against other aggro though. Brute got huge support in addition to item destruction and Katsu is on his MoPL plan that’s stronger than what Fai can do. I can’t speak to how Dash lines up with Empress Dromai, but having to hedge between it and Big Dragon can’t help things.

@@Lupinefiasco in the beginning of the video you talked about her place in the meta and why you dont expect many ^^ Haven't actually seen mopl katsu in person yet, but yes, that deck sounds scary. Kayo so far looks to me just like "who presents better numbers" i assume to be slightly unfavored. Dromai can be rough, aggro dromai is easier to just kill, since they dont threaten fatigue like big dragon does

@@Narabedla4 I stand by my statement that hybrid Dash seems in a worse position in aggro mirrors, even if Fai is a bad example of an aggro mirror she struggles into.
