I'm Rachel, a mom of three and the oldest in a family of 8 kids. I'm a second-generation homeschooler who is passionate about education. I'm originally from Michigan, but am living overseas. My two young boys and teaching homeschool lessons to my youngest sisters keep me busy, but I make time for writing and for making KZbin videos, too! We don’t do readings over meals but as my teenagers don’t do early starts they often eat their breakfast during readings!!! The easier readings we wait till my older kids have ate so they can read them!!! It brings them in!!! We went thru our German too fast and now we are just working on the words they need extra practice for!!! I didn’t mind doing it that way as we are still working on the words!!! All my kids listen to German songs but I encourage them to sing along!!! My younger kids don’t have their own checklists yet!!! My 8 year old is asking for one!!! I’m working with her to teach her how to plan and check off. I know it’s a life skill!!! Our morning virtues take at least 6 weeks if not longer!!! My older kids use the bible readings tho!!! We often go deeper into it!!!

I’m finding it hard to homeschool Kindergarten and Second grade. Not sure if you have a video about it but do you take turns? And what do they do while they wait? Appreciate any advice :)
