The sandwich maker… Pudgy pie iron here in the U.S. :) So fun to stuff with a variety of ingredients. We use pizza sauce and toppings or even pie filling! Thanks for the glimpses of your life in Japan!

Fun, thanks Mits. The sandwich making thing is a sandwich press I believe 🥪🍵🌭From childhood & food on the fire I remember putting whole potatoes 🥔 in the coals🙂💚

It’s a pie iron! We use them to make grilled cheese sandwiches when we go camping. 🏕️

Such a relaxing video to watch! I'm also far behind on my journaling, but I try to pick it up whenever I find the time (usually while watching one of your videos)

Very cute video, Mits! I hear you about falling behind on jounaling! Recently, I've found it faster to quickly update my blog, since it can take time to take out all my analogue materials! But if you keep a digital record such as an online blog, or notes on your phone in lieu of physical journaling, you can print those things out later! It's not going to be as personal, but it is still your record. That counts! At the moment, I am working on page digitally for a zine that I hope to print this week. Within the month for sure if I can't meet my personal deadline this week.

Thank you for the footage at the end. Chiba looks beautiful, reminds me of Maine with its rocky coastline.

Hi Mits, great video as always. I was wondering if you could do a video on your favorite supplies you used this year or in general? Can’t wait for your next video 🤍

It’s a pie iron, but I grew up calling it a hobo pie maker. We traditionally use pie filling. I think it depends where you grew up for what it’s called. When we camp, we often just throw tons of veggies and some meat (shrimp/chicken/beef) on the blackstone grill. Once it’s cooked, we put it over rice. Of course, it always seems to rain when we camp, so I often make ramen. I’ll dress it up with soft boiled egg, veggies, and sometimes thinly sliced venison/beef tenderloin.
