Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is an uncommon sarcoma of intermediate malignancy (i.e., locally aggressive) typically seen in middle-aged adults. Unlike most soft tissue sarcomas, DFSP presents as a slow-growing subcutaneous mass or nodule. It has a significant potential for local recurrence, but no metastatic risk in its conventional form.
