One thing I've noticed when watching Billy's videos is how meticulous he is. Everything is always so clean, perfectly aligned, straight, organized etc. Well done. I admire your work.

I would love to see a video like that too! Also an in depth video of how to identify morph genes when there are multiple genes in each snake. For instance, my male is Orange Dream, Fire, Enchi, Yellow Belly. My female is GHI, Enchi, Pastel, Lesser. When it’s time to hatch their eggs and see what was produced how do I identify which morphs each baby has? Is there an article or video that you suggest I read/ watch to help me with this?

Everyone does it a bit different which I always enjoy seeing. What is your reasoning for labeling eggs before pre-lay shed? Thanks for the awesome Vid Billy
@MutationCreationCanada5 жыл бұрын
I do this so I do not stress her out by putting in a male or even food for that matter. I also do not need to ultrasound any more. She is just left to lay when she ready. Also prepares me to know how much space and tubs I need for the incubator.
@tashielee12295 жыл бұрын
Was just wondering why in some of the tubs that water was splashed on the snakes? is that to help them shed or just to keep them cool? Would also love to see how you ship your snakes as well as some pairing videos

Billy you are a definite role model for me as a new breeder. I follow several breeders on KZbin and FB because of you. My question is I see racks with only one Herpstat how does the heat tape and herpstats work for a large rack system?
@monicatnielsen4 жыл бұрын
Sorry if I’m asking a dumb question, but isn’t it better for the snakes to be in a terrarium? Where they have different places to explore/hide etc & get sunlight?

Love the videos Billy. Where or what row do you place the temp probes on the 5040 rack? Which thermostat are you using?
@MutationCreationCanada5 жыл бұрын
I actually have 2 probes on each rack. The bottom 4 set to 94 and the top 6 set to 92. I place probe directly on the heat panel at the very bottom for the 4 rows and row 5 for the top 6.

What kind arw the snakes at 8:00mins and 9:40mins?
@ravenbeaudine72814 жыл бұрын
Do you take the eggs out and put them in an incubator or do you leave them in with the mother until they hatch? Every video I’ve watched, the eggs are always taken out and out in an incubator. My question is why not leave them in with the mother until they hatch? In the wild the eggs aren’t put into incubators. I’m asking because I’ll be breeding in a couple of years when my female reaches 1,500 grams and reaches at least 2-3 years in age. What are the advantages of incubation vs. leaving the eggs with the mother?

@MutationCreationCanada5 жыл бұрын
I know. It is a Canadian thing.
@hipihypnoctice5 жыл бұрын
According to Merriam-Webster, both pronunciations are correct, one is just more of UK English origination while the other is more US English. So technically it is not ASSphalt as you say, it is either one :) linguistics are fun, so are dialectal and coloquial pronunciations
