I don't understand why people are so frustrated that City-Arsenal ended 0-0 when the match at the Emirates was pretty much the same just with the Martinelli lucky goal.

The difference is back then it was still the first half of the season and there wasn’t really a title race compared to the tight one we have now so the expectations for this potentially title deciding game were way higher

@@Niraansrivastava It's true that the stakes here are much higher than before, but that doesn't inmediately mean that it will be a 6 goal thriller. A few months ago this two teams canceled each other out and performance-wise they didn't change much. Plus, Arsenal got 4-1'd last year, so it's reasonable they would park the bus at the Etihad. I actually enjoyed the tactical dispute. Maybe if Trossard passed to Martinelli to score at the 86' it would have been way more dramatic.

For people who love tactics, City vs Arsenal was an interesting match. In the first 10 minutes, City tried to impose a mid block against Arsenal’s midfield. They realised it and shifted to 4-4-2 compact formation which was deep. They didn’t press so the overload of City midfielders doesn’t create a breakthrough. Arsenal basically played with 2 wingbacks, a double pivot and 2 CFs. City tried to push Gvardiol along with Kovacic up to cover Saka in response. While our pivot was able to keep both Foden and KDB in control. Overall City had more possession but Arsenal had better chances. And that stat is wrong Saka created 1 chance for Jesus. In moments Arsenal had 6 defenders and City had 6 attackers. Overall great match. Yes not by the scoreboard but by the tactics and the subs.

@@jonbolton491 Parking the bus?, no. Arsenal went to the etihad and played the game Man City didn't want them to play. Either team had chances, and even though it wasn't visible in stats Arsenal could've easily won that game with Trossards pass, or Jesus with a slightly better shot

@@wallyanders9577 Played the game Man City didn't want them to play is Euphemism for playing a defensive game and denying Man City space. The chances Arsenal had were counters. Nothing wrong with that. They have no obligation to go to Etihad and get ripped apart. It's actually a good kudos to Arteta. Had they lost, it would have been harder to get back into the title race.

Even after the tie, both teams are only 1 tie/lose for Liverpool away from them. There is still time for bottling. Although I don't wish them such a bad ending to Klopp. But still if somebody can bottle that, it's either Arsenal or Pool. And maybe Dortmund 😂
