What nice neighbors! So for shopping, i go by the kid, my first did really great in his car seat so we would just leave him in and put him in the cart. But for my newborn now, he hates his car seat so i put him in the carrier and carry him on my chest for shopping.

Yes, you take the whole car seat usually it will connect on the top where a child would sit at, you can place the car seat there it should lock into place. Then your groceries in the bottom.

Mindy a little hack when making a smoothie use the mason jar to blend your ingredients just put the blender cap on the mason jar and blend so it’s easier one less thing to wash I do it all the time lol

If you want to keep you baking sheets. I use this trick on all our cookware (minus none stick). On the baking sheet make a paste with dawn and bar keepers friend, then use a scrubby sponge/brush, some elbow grease, and rinse well. This makes our look brand new. Congrats on your beautiful family.

Not a silly question regarding car seat and shopping…you just got to do what is best for you. Some trips might be easier to just bring whole car seat in, others might be easier to hold him in baby carrier. We usually keep carrier in car just in case.

Our baby boy who was born August 1st is finally starting to sleep through the night better as well. We got him down for bed around 11:45pm last night and he didn't wake again until 6am this morning for his first feeding today, which was AMAZING. This day and night mix up has been a journey for sure but there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel.

My grocery store actually has a few carts with carseat holders. They're the BEST. When we go places that don't have that option I will take the stroller system and hubby will push the cart. If I'm alone, I put her carseat in the cart. Now that she's sitting up on her own I have one of those cloth cart baby seat covers and they're the best and she loves it. Just adds some padding and prevents her from getting germs all over the cart. lol

If you go shopping at Publix they have shopping carts with car seat holder that way you don’t take over the cart with the car seat and you can actually use it for groceries.

The grocery cart thing - they sell this cart carrier for the baby carrier! You open it up and the carrier floats on top so you can put your groceries in the cart! I got it at my shower and it’s been a life savor.

You can take the whole car seat and put it in the top part of the cart or you could use a carrier like the ones that you wear and wear him or if you and Larry are both going one of y’all could push him in a stroller while the other pushes the cart.

I used a baby carrier if i had a big enough shop to need a cart or i used his stroller and just put my items into the bottom of the stroller if it would fit. Also, i did and still do the majority of my shopping as pick up orders so we dont even have to leave the car!

I put the carseat on the stoller (it was a 3in1 stroller, so I could switch out the moses, the carseat and the sport piece on the same "skeleton" - sorry english is not my 1st language). And then pushed the baby like that, on the stroller. And had a little handheld basket instead of a cart. Or if we went together with ny husband, he pushed the cart and I pushed the baby.

I felt the same way about going shopping when my baby was a newborn!! She’s 7 months old now and can sit in the shopping cart, but when she was a newborn I would either put her in the carrier (if I was alone) or leave her in her car seat because I have a doona that turns into a stroller, and I would push her while my husband pushed the shopping cart. Honestly didn’t do it a lot when she was that little.😂 but I get the struggle of not really knowing what to do!

There is no right or wrong way to take your baby shopping with you. You can put the car seat in the cart although yes you won’t have any room. Or you can bring a stroller and attach a clip to hold bags or use the basket underneath. At Publix they have a cart that has a car seat option on the top so you have the whole basket for groceries!
