Hi love the decorations 🤗 I actually have a pair of pajama bottoms just like yours that I recently found at a thrift store. On the tree topper we always use to bend that top part over . Like in half then put the topper on. It makes it more stable and works better with the weight of it. 🤗

@MrRipper1971 Thank you! These are comfy pajamas! I got mine at the thrift store, too. I tried bending the branch but the Christmas Star was just too heavy but it's all good, I'm still glad to have it and one day may get a heavier duty tree that can hold it up there!

I love your tree Sarah. I have to fold that top stem in half to make it more study and use bread ties to tie the star to the tree.

@craftsbeautyandlife5163 Good ideas! The weight of the Star is just so heavy for the little tree even when I folded the top down to reinforce it, the Star still flopped over! Now Mr. Turtle's got his sights set on the Star. I told him it's too big for his tree. But he stomped his little feet and is not letting it go!

That droopy star branch,...I have seen people fold it in half and then place the star on it. It makes it more stable. But you have a beautiful tree. You have such a good eye for design.

Thank you very much! I tried doing just that, but the star was too heavy even with the branch folded down. I think it was built so well in the 60's or 70's and my little tree just couldn't handle the weight of it. But I'm still loving the tree and enjoy the star I made last year. I decorate my complete apartment on the main floor. I do the door ways with garland. I it lights in all of my windows. I put garland on my curtains. I put red bows on all of my cupboard doors. I put lights up behind my microwave/ coffee center. I put my tree in front of the window facing the road. I just love decorating for Christmas.😅

Hi Sarah! Love your channel! I wanted to share that my tree topper was also too heavy for my Dollar General tree (lol…great minds think alike) so I used two twist ties and anchored it to the branches that way. The tree limbs hide them and it’s holding up great now for two weeks. Just wanted to share! Love your Christmas tree! 🌲

Dont use the plastic thing on the tree topper. Just rap the trees top couple of branches around thru the bottom of the tree topper. That's how I put them on. It gives it more support.

Thank you for your suggestion! The tree topper is just too heavy for the lightweight branches even when I bend them for extra support. It's a wonderful vintage piece, very pretty lit up!

Congratulations on your growing channel. I also love to collect ornaments from thrift stores l.You can get some really unique ones. The outside garlands look stunning and were a terrific buy. The paper ribbon is very unique, probably from the 1970’s. You could use it as garlands or paper bows for the tree. The tree looks gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.

The paper ribbon was to make decorative paper chain garland to hang on the tree or wherever your heart desires. When my brother and I were kids, we used to love making them and decorate the tree, and wherever else we could put them, we had a blast doing it.

One of my sisters collects different ornaments for her tree. Fold the tall branch on top over then put your star on it, that's what I do to mine, just a suggestion. Your tree is very pretty. Have a wonderful weekend. God Bless.

The frame is vintage, it was a great thrift store find! Mr. Turtle tried to talk me into putting the vintage star on his little tree. I told him if it won't work on my 4 foot tree, it's not working on his. But he wants a star, so I gotta figure out something for the little guy!
