Being new on my journey with Christ, reading the book of proverbs has been so challenging but I am so thankful for your teachings on this video. It has made it so much easier to understand. You are doing the Lord's work indeed. Thank you

Excellent lesson Tammy!!! Thank you. So many great verses to choose from today, but I am going with 11:9 because, like you, I realize the Godly value in speaking positively to people, especially those who are strangers (including reviews on social media sites like Yelp.) Example: I know who the cleaning people are at the gym and they do a good job, so I always seek out at least one of them for praise for conscientiously doing a thankless job. "With their mouths (hurtful speech) the godless would destroy their neighbors, but by knowledge (and their actions) the righteous are delivered!!!" :-) Too many times we subconsciously view others as a kind of punching bag to take out our stress and relieve our own self doubt. This benefits NO ONE. AMERICA NEEDS TO LEARN THIS VERSE NOW! Too much ME going on and not enough WE. Thanks again!!!

“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” Proverbs 11:25 ESV We skeptically often say “no good deed goes unpunished.” While that may seem to happen occasionally, the truth is that there is always reward for doing what is right even when sometimes it’s only internal or eternal.

Tammy, thank you for the insights you shared on Proverbs 11. “When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2 I have to remember that the pride in Proverbs 11:2 means “puffed up” or “boiling up” and thinking quite highly of yourself. That is exactly what Satin did. So we must remember 1 Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exhale you.”

Tammy: I very much enjoyed your guidance in understanding Proverbs 11. I have come away with a number of insights I will try to focus on. Number one is the notion of building people up by using our words. If you’re not a pastor, perhaps you missed your calling. Your speaking technique is outstanding as you come across as competent and confident. WTG. I’m enjoying this journey immensely.

I know I’m focusing on the wrong thing, but why are there so many “guides” through this 31 day challenge. Couldn’t one guide commit to 31 videos?

As righteousness tendeth to life, so he that pursed evil purserh it to his own death. Proverbs 11:19 righteousness assures life, not wealth.
