I’m quite baffled by how individuals can worship or call to the universe for what they need or want. Worship the Creator, not the Creation. So many people’s ideologies are founded upon such superstitious beliefs. I had a friend who practised this, she believed that anything she taught to be true would become true. It ended up becoming a colossal issue, instead of taking action towards things she wanted to get/achieve, she just believed everything would fix itself. She never studied, believing through manifestation she could miraculously gain the knowledge to ace tests, she made herself believe that a guy had a crush on her without ever having spoken to him and she practiced many other of these New Age practices. I could always see that, deep down, she knew that this wouldn’t ever work. I am glad to say though that, today she loves the Lord. Glory be to Him!

We should always refer back to the Bible to verify these things. I’d encourage you to look in the Bible and ask God for guidance and understanding

I have been saying for years that positive thinking and law of attraction is dangerous! I tried it for many years and things only got worse! I have talked to MANY others who also tried it and things got worse for them as well! And it causes deep depression when people do this stuff and take it seriously and expect great things to happen. And when good things never come, it destroys them! it is easier to handle bad things when you are not hyped up expecting to get your desires and expecting good things. SO when people really believe a dream life will manifest, it makes it that much worse on them when nothing good comes and worse when bad things happen instead. Funny thing is they all say you MUST be positive and not negative. Yet being positive and doing these teachings are when the worst things happen to me. And it has always been when I felt angry, depressed and hopeless that anything good at all has happened for me. So it seems they have it backwards. And others have said the same thing. Fact is, there is nothing conscious in the universe that knows you or gives a damn about you. Nothing is going to help you. No god, no loa And if one more person says to me all of my desires are in my vibrational vortex I will scream! I cannot go to my landlord and say "hey, the rent check is vibrational and in your vortex"!

Amen. I remember when "God" used to mean "God", as in our Creator and the Creator of the universe. When young I didn't know if I believed in God, but I knew what "God" meant. It's so weird now to hear people say "the universe" in place of "God", or... if somebody talks of God I can't assume they mean what people used to mean by "God". They might mean themselves, or the universe. Sigh.

I remember I used to watch videos about The Law of Attraction I used to like them because they were positive, but I didn't like how they said universe message. So I asked my Sunday school teacher about this, and he said to not watch these videos. I want to get closer to God, and I hope I can be a better Christian.

Through a teacher called Neville Goddard, I discovered so many passages that make reference to it, and found it hard to accept this was an important part of His message to us. My husband was into the secret for awhile so I've watched it many times. It struck me as very problematic being someone very familiar with the bible. It is opening the door to the sequel which is the Moses code. In that one they straight out say that you are a God. Very dangerous and New Age for sure. I pray for God's Will to be done in my life not my own. I went my own way and screwed my life up. Now I'm stuck picking up the pieces and praying for God's Will to be done. God allows all things for our good even the bad stuff. That's a hard pill for the world to take. Glory to God in all things.

I laughed at this only works for people with rich parents! I have often thought of how my uncle said "money insulates people from reality". I knew ONE person into the LoA 15 years ago, and she came from money. She also believed we were created by bad aliens, but the good aliens are going to save us, so I didn't even want to hear about the LoA. I'm shocked to realize this has become mainstream. I'm wondering about the demographics of its followers, if it is people from a background that's a bit more affluent than average. When I was young and got into the New Age stuff for a bit, it was definitely more affluent people. Money can insulate you from reality.

When you call for "the universe" to manifest...you're getting into the unknown, you may call demons/evil spirits/low vibrations into your spiritual field. That could really mess up your life and your soul, 'cause you'll feel trapped and stuck all the time, and you'll end up feeling sad and depressed and powerless because "creation" itself is something beyond human comprehension, it is for "the creator's creation" to deal with it, and the creator is God.

For what its worth, I have just completely turned my back to LOA, and rely only in God's will, trusting my Father as he knows better, and accepting my cross. Never "manifested" so fast amazing miracles and unexpected surprises that the Holy Spirit freely gives me. Moreover I am fully happy whatever happens. Don't be deceive by Satan Gospel. Fully trust God : He is not a a deliver machine. He is your Father, he loves you, wants the best for you, and will do what it takes to lead you to Heaven. Ask Him everything, He is always listening, but your job is to surrender your will to His as He knows better. He will never deceive you.

You make some good points, but this video also demonstrates some misconceptions about what manifesting is. Some people use the word " universe" instead of the word God because they are uncomfortable with a lot of the negative connotations associated with the word "God" (like it or not, but Christian churches have hurt A LOT of people over the millenia, and that's why many people leave to seek God in other ways. It's so arrogant and ignorant to think that Christianity is the only path to God.) That doesn't mean they are referring to the creation instead of the creator. They are just using a different and perhaps less personified term to describe God. It's the same thing. The other part is that we are all Divine sparks of God and not separate. Therefore to say you are God is not really untrue. But your limited human ego doesn't know the whole picture, and that's where aligning your own will with the greater will of God/The Universe is important to manifest what you "want", knowing it is given if it aligns with God's will. Many say that you wouldn't have certain desires arise if they aren't meant for you. Focusing on those goals will invariably help them come to fruition, though often some effort is required. God meets us halfway. When people say they manifested something, most of them know it is God/The Universe meeting them halfway and blessing them with whatever it was that they were asking for.

Maybe I would believe the author of this video if he wasn't biased. He defends his views from the perspective of Christianity and the Bible. The very way he talks about God is so limiting. He uses words such as: "we Christians, etc." as if Christians are the smartest in the world. and he became a Christian by force, as a newly born man, due to tradition and environment (no one asked him if he wanted it). Just as the author trivializes the manifestation, so I could trivialize that all-knowing god of his, who let the Egyptians kill innocent children and who commanded Moses to carry out military operations in which he was ordered to kill men and children, and that women could be taken as slaves.

The truth is that if you seek something that will support your true purpose that is aligned with God and eternal energy, you are likely to get the thing you desire.
