To put into perspective on why the level is extreme demon apart from its length, the last 200 rooms are around top 3 difficulty. I would sadly know as I had quit after 3 hours.

Ye same, I spent 3.5 hours on it and some of the ending parts are harder than some sections in storm front (especially 1997)

Im pretty sure its insane due to the level having a checkpoint in every single room. Difficulty should not be impacted by length of level unless theres a lack of checkpoints in between portions of the level. Its really only the last 200 rooms that feel close to or is of extreme difficulty. As an extreme, i would consider it the easiest one i played.

I just beat How To Platformer just now, I can confirm with you, that was the worst experience I have ever had on an extreme demon (insane demon now at this time but I think it is definitely extreme). Do not waste 4-6 hours of your time playing this level!!

Ngl after beating it twice myself (2 hr 47 min unrecorded, 2 hr 20 min on video) I do think this is a level ppl should play if they are skilled enough for extreme demon platformers and have the time. I find it very fun and using literally everything but dual makes it a nice test of all gamemodes. Its also nice that the actual hard parts are only a small fraction of the total level, like 5-10%. With a 150 room break at 1650-1800.

Me, watching this video: "That doesn't look so bad. I'm gonna play it." Me, nearly six hours later, after finally beating that level: "Owwwwwww... My hands... My poor, poor hands...!" I can see why How to Platformer is an Extreme Demon. Some of those rooms - room 666 and 1831 come to mind, though there were others as well - were *REALLY* tough, requiring some crazy precision. Levels like this are why I hope Robtop adds a "Save & Quit" feature to save your checkpoint in longer platformer levels; I enjoyed it, but playing through that in one sitting was rough.

I beat How to platformer the other day. The reason it takes most people up to and even more than 4 hours is because the last 200 rooms are absurdly tough compared to the rest of the level. The jetpack and robot rooms specifically. It's definitely not something anyone should attempt unless they're confident in their platformer skills!

I had a good run of how to platformer and clicked the practice mode button at stage 1824, so I rebound my lmb to W and the random button on the bottom of my mouse to left click so I'd have to lift my mouse to even try to press the 2mm wide button under my mouse just to left click. thankfully I beat it in only 20 more minutes than my previous run, and it shall be my first and last platformer demon.
