Seeing how the person was waiting there, I'm guessing the elevator was *already* further than one floor up. My guess is the owner realized what happened, and dropped the leash so it didn't get stuck in the elevator. The only thing holding that leash up right there is that pair of doors. If the elevator were to open, then the dog would've fallen, maybe bruised a bit, but would be ok. I doubt the owner is *THAT* oblivious.

Reminds me of skiing in Noway. The size and heigth of their resorts in insane. The most ridiculus one I went to made us able to plan a route that went from 2800 meters all the way down to the foot of the mountain. Like over 15 kilometres of uninterupted snowboarding (took some planning to manage to string as many ski slopes as we could together). Best thing I ever did in winter sports.
