I want to see a Batman AU where it is a "syndicate" run by the millionaires and billionaires of Gotham. Any one of the dozen or so (It varies by continuity) of the elite can anonymously fund the Batman project either with money or setting up someone to be one of Batman's sidekicks. This does four things: (1) Wayne Corp doesn't have to seem suspicious in its money loss because multiple places take the hit (2) There can be a lot more vigilante protecting Gotham (3) there is potential greater community among the elite so more chance they be good people and start helping the greater population of Gotham (4) If a villain does try to unmask batman, there are several people who can claim that moniker so he stays hidden. If you have any ideas or critiques, let me know.
