Not to mention that Windu is probably one of the Jedi riding the line between light and dark the most... If anything, I'd bet Anakin would have fallen before Episode II with Windu... although I don't really see him working out with any other master that well either. Yoda would probably drive him to solo-speedrun Order 66 and end up with a confused Palpatine asking how he knew of his plans, only for Anakin to ask "What plan? I just couldn't stand his cryptic lessons and inability to speak normally one minute longer."

Look, I get that a lot of people make fun of star-wars fans for hating how they brought Palpatine back. To that I say, they didn't really explain it at all. See, with sauron, it makes sense, he placed almost all of his power into the ring, poured his literal soul into it. (If he had one). So it makes sense he could return with it. Same with voldemort, but with Palpatine, all it's shown is that he cloned himself, no mention of how his consciousness transferred to the new clone, it's not at all explained in the films or any relevant media. That's why I dislike that. If they had tried to make a newer villain of the trilogy rather than bring back Darth Sideous, I think I would've enjoyed the movie more.
