It's got a cold and hot cooling/warming circuit. The oil cooler is the same. It's a bypass to heat it up faster. You can drive the car when the h2o temp starts moving, and it will raise the rpm sooner. You don't need to wait for it. Maybe the manual says otherwise, but keep the revs mild and it's OK.
