zach is playing his bass that he always plays. you can, and he does, strum it. there's no "right" or "wrong" way to play. he has an unusual style, yes. he plays full chords. that's part of what makes pinback so fucking awesome.

Nope, no piccolo basses, Zach smith, the guy on the lleft, uses a stanley clarke alembic deluxe edition bass, he has it tuned completely standard, he just plays on the high frets, i can play his part on bass ik its right, and rob (left) is obviously using a precision bass of some sort, probly fender

Okay - earlier I just made fun of everybody... now I am jumping in. I vote for the bass people. Yes count the tuners- 4 on each instrument. Those are clearly basses... Although technically a bass is a fucking guitar. They are bass guitars. Sheesh!

Not to be catty, but rob has really gained weight. He used to be really hot...
