That is so true. The other babies could explore, start to forage, begin socializing and learn the troop dynamics. Celine did not have that luxury, she had to pull 24hr guard duty, basically be a one-baby secret service detail to protect her supply. Celine had to grow up fast and hard.

15:30 Casi was worried Calvins bad behavior would rub off on Celine. And Celine could never just hang out, make new friends and introduce herself to the rest of the troop. She should have been enjoying her higher status amoung the females.. But she had to protect her supply from a indefatiguable nemesis, a mindless milk zombie focused only one one thing and one thing only. Calvin had already taken ALL of Casi's attention away from Celine and Casi obviously deeply resented it. What is very intriguing: it sometimes appears Casi has a conscience, that she deliberately tries to keep herself calm and show restraint and be patient with Calvin. She doesnt want to be responsible for Calvins death, but she fears for her daughter much more

You are absolutely correct all he ever wanted to do and all he ever put any effort into doing was nursing. He had no desire to try to walk play with the other monkeys climb a tree taste some leaves and bugs. Nothing mattered, but clinging to Casi and nursing I could only imagine her frustration with him, because he just wasn’t learning and I think that was some of the reason for his demise these babies grow fast and need to learn fast and if they’re not going to obey their mothers rules, (like calvin never did) and if they don’t learn quickly, what’s OK to do and what’s not OK to do they’re going to get them all attacked if not killed

Кажется недавно просмотрела ролик,где судьба Кельвина развернулась на 180.Картина следующая:Келвин висит на сиське в гордом одиночестве,рука прочно лежит на втором соске.Селин безуспешно пытается пристроиться тоже поесть,но нет.Похоже она уже ослабла.После неудачных попыток,Селин поднимается на плечо Каси и начинает верещать ей прямо в ухо,скакать и таскать за волосы.Каси опускает голову и видит жрущего в три горла Келвина с рукой на втором соске.Каси оскалилась и залопотала,мабуть материлась.Протестующий пасюк был спущен вниз,а Селин наконец поела досыта.Так началась новая эра в короткой жизни Келвина,где он сам себе навредил.

He made poor Cassie A nervous wreck, and he never stopped clawing, scratching, sucking, and stealing Celines milk. Cassie never starved that Little troll. There were times that Celine was throwing a fit because she was hungry and he was too busy draining both of her nipples. He was very greedy never willing to learn or explore. All he was concerned with was drinking every drop of Cassie‘s milk possible. He couldn’t wait his turn and poor Celine didn’t have a peaceful meal since the second her mother picked that scumbag up. One video he was spreaded across Casi chest suffocating Celine while she was laying on the ground. He nursed an entire day with no deterrence when Celine was kidnapped. Not counting countless of time when his greedy a** drained both teats nothing left for Celine. Whenever he was glued on he ALWAYS had to be pulled off. NEVER moved voluntarily like Celine did for him. She was on HER mom's back while he fed a lot of times not to disturb him like he owned something. So if she didn't feed him Please tell me how he lived for 19 days? Off air? OR did you see another monkey fed him? If you did, where? He stole as much milk as he could. And Casi let it feed a lot

Every time this video pops up on my suggestion to watch lost I watch it. And every time I get annoyed seeing how the very beginning of this video was edited to start there. The reason it started at that time was due to it being the end of Calvin's turn at nursing. Prior to the beginning of this video CALVIN was clinging right into casi in the front alone amd sucking milk for a long time while Celine was off exploring amd learning how to climb and be social, then when she got back she was hungry wanted to nurse but the greedy little leech didn't want to move. You can see at the very start of this video that it is CALVIN who is there nursing and holding onto casi tight in the front of her chest alone, then you see Celine trying to get back in her mom's chest where she belongs and is rightfully her spot by birth, but the other female there kept lifting her tail trying to smell Celine and groom her but she didn't want that sje wanted to nurse, then you hear poor baby celine cry out because she is so hungry and Calvin is being a nasty greedy interloper and refuses to move until casi gets up and moves and MAKES him move by PULLING HIM OFF OF HER SEVERAL TIMES. He NEVER listened or learned how to act right, that's why casi got so sick of him and finally rejected him and refused to take him back.. he was to much hassle and he absolutely REFUSED to learn to do ANYTHING, he didn't even want to learn to WALK OR CLIMB! monkey baby's become independent QUICKLY, and he was with casi almost a full month, and in that time je should have been advancing atthe same times Celine was, but he had zero interests in doing anything other than fight for milk. Starving babies don't act that way. They WILL try to est bugs or leaves or grass or fruit peels or ANYTHING they can get in their mouths.. Calvin DID NOT EVER do that, he wasnt Starving he maybe felt hungry a lot but he always got enough to survive, and had he supplemented with trying to eat some bugs or greens or fruit peels he would have felt more full,but he was to dumb to even try it or figure it put. The only times he EVER tried to be independent or walk was when chiko had him, so it wasn't even that bad that she had him often, I think casi also saw that which was why she left him with chiko often, to male him learn skills of his own cuz he wasn't even trying when casi had him. He didn't die either. I did link the video of him from after he was released again to the wild in the little reject monkey troop, so for anyone thT still thinks he starved to heath need to go watch that video!

Lol the reason mother monkeys grab hold of the hair on the top of the babies heads is so she can pull the babies head to make it look DIRECTLY at HER. IN HER EYES. ALL monkeys express themselves worh facial expressions and when you see a mother trying to teach and discipline a baby you will see her do that many time to grab that hair on the top of its head and then pull the babies face nose to nose with hers.. and casi does this MANY MANY MANY times with Calvin, it is her TRYING to teach him the rules and his place at the bottom if the ranks, but he just keeps refusing to learn anything and that's when you see her getting really annoyed and frustrated with him, usually the mothers only need to do that 2 maybe 3 times and the babies will usually give up for awhile, but Calvin NEVER took the warning looks that she always gave him, many videos she pulls his head and puts her nose to his nose and is looking him in the eye, she's trying to show she is in charge and when he just ignores that he gets the same kind of discipline as ANY OTHER baby monkey gets when NOT doing what the mother is trying to tell it to do or not so.

Casi isn’t to blame as these are instinctually driven animals. It’s not like Casi plotted and thought up this whole kidnapping/starving scheme with Calvin. She was behaving just as her instincts told her too. Just as Calvin’s birth mom did. Casi tried teaching Calvin and had he chilled tf out, she may have continued to tote him around. Calvin’s jealousy of Celine was HUGE and his jealousy outweighed any survival skill he had learned with Casi until the end. It wasn’t just about survival with Calvin. Casi WAS letting him nurse until he constantly was trying to block Celine from nursing and throwing screeching, demonic fits when Casi would move him so her daughter could feed. If you watch closely, if Calvin was on the right side of Casis chest, he would go after that left teat to try snuffing Celine out and keep her from nursing. Calvin was Calvin’s own worst enemy. We will never know if Casi would’ve continued to tote him around had he chilled out or not but his behaviors and constant drama, definitely didn’t help him any.

Zoom in on casis are/chest/stomach area a little and while watching in the .25 slow motion pause it at about 17 to 18 seconds in and then zoom into where her nipples are. You will see Calvin cuddled up sleeping and nursing all on his own while Celine is fighting off Cesca from snagging her butt. There is another video that shows more time of this exact event and shows him again cuddling and nursing and sleeping while Celine is on casis back and head and looking around and playing around for about 20mins. When Celine came back it was still 10mins before she tried to go into nurse, but cesca started trying to lift her tail and sniff her butt and groom her but Celine yelled and wanted to nurse so casi got up to move so Celine could now nurse for her turn. So when you see casi get up to move and then need to peel Calvin off of her chest and nipple, it was not because she was starving him. It was because he just had over 30mins of nursing time all to himself while Celine was off playing and learning how to be a normal monkey. So then when 30mins later, Casi's actual offspring who she has a maternal bond and responsibility to care for, and most importantly the baby to whom she has an AUTOMATIC PRIMAL NATURAL INSTINCT to nurse and care for and protect, she made Calvin get off of her so that baby who is actually supposed to by nature be getting that milk could nurse and have her turn. She never starved the greedy tree rat, he just wanted it all for himself and had a temper tantrum every time his turn was over. Yes Celine got more nursing time. IT IS HER MOTHER HER MILK! NOT HIS! he had enough to survive. Once he got to big and strong enough that he was hurting and pushing Celine off THAT was when casi left him with chiko and REFUSED to take him back. He did not die. Do some digging and looking and you will see that he DID NOT DIEeothee, he was rescued and nursed to health and got a few months older and was then released into the little troop of orphaned or abandoned baby monkeys .

Calvin’s instincts tell him that being on Casis chest is what’s comfortable, secure and where he’s “supposed” to be. Casis instincts are telling her that nothing about Calvin being on her chest is what’s “right.” The battle between these 2 is insane. Calvin’s instinctually trying to guard his food source, Celine is trying to guard hers and Casis instincts are to defend her daughters survival… not another females baby. Just like none of the other adults wanted anything to do with Calvin and are instinctually driven, to only care for their own.

There was def something wrong from the get go eith calvin. Even when cassi fed him he never got bigger than celine or even the same size and celine was younger. Infact celine was losing out on milk because of calvin being greedy and always pushing her out of the way. He nursed 24 7 and cassi finally noticed what was going on. Christy eventually lost interest or will in getting him back even when cassi literally left him for her to take she was done with his consrany needy ness and lack of development, he could barely balance himself when celine was running around. Yes, it's very important. There's another problem that most people here are unaware of. When a mom is pregnant her body will start producing milk several weeks before delivering. That milk is specifically formulated for the sex of the offspring she is carrying. Males need certain hormones after they're born, these hormones are provided through moms milk. So it's crucial for males to nurse from their moms, same for females. So with Casi having a female offspring she could've fed Calvin but he would've never thrived and grown in to the type of normal male as the others around him. He would always be way behind mentally and physically because Casi's milk was formulated for a female and not a male.

Birthing the placenta releases hormones that tell her body to produce milk in order to support her young. It’s pointless and wasted energy to produce milk before the baby is born. Nature is a pretty clever that way. There IS a difference between male and female milk though. Females generally eat more than males. . so their nutrients are more spread out, per volume, vs males.

Calvin in almost every video is always trying to get Cassi to Look at him.. He stares at her waiting for that one look back.. Even in this video as he is sucking on her arm he watches for a response look..Nothing, he continues as soon as he sees a response he begins to suck incessively .. Cassi than becomes angry and the punishment begins..What , I have realized watching these videos is Calvin was looking not for love because monkeys do not have human emotions.. But , I am certain he wanted a Bond with Cassi.. The type he saw with Celine and Cassi.. And because of his inability or refusal to follow the rules the only one he could have was an abusive ...So as Crazy as it may sound , I think it may have been Calvins way of getting attention from Cassi ... This may not have been his intention at first but as time went on, I believe he started ..So maybe a few of those tantrums or times he went on the Teat without permission were for Attention.. Because let's face it Negative Attention is Better than No Attention At All.... When you are in a two by four space with another being who is not getting hit just gets kisses and hugs from the one you so desperately want to notice you !!!

How many times was there soft, juicy fruit hanging right in his face? He never once tried to nibble. People need to quit blaming Casi and Celine. Calvin sabotaged himself to a degree and Cheko helped him along. His tantrums and greednsould have gotten him torn to shreds by the other adults of the troupe if he had made it long enough to forage for himself. That is, if he didn't get killed because he was the son of the previous monkey King first. Living long term just wasn't in the cards for him. That’s not factual. A mother will naturally produce the amount of breast milk needed by what is demanded of her. This is how a baby grows and still has enough breast milk to satisfy them, at say.. 6 months old. Also, if Celine wasn’t getting enough milk, she wouldn’t of been such a mild-mannered baby. Casi started abandoning Calvin daily on April 22nd (he was born April 15th). He really didn’t get much time on the teat (rightfully not) because 1. He was either with Chiko OR Celine was nursing. This is why he really started looking emaciated during this time frame. Calvin did get food aggressive (also rightfully so as every animal will that’s known starvation) and he had NO room for any type of aggression when he was with Casi and Celine. As many beatdowns and as many times as Casi denied his access to the teat, you’d think he would’ve figured this out. . But not dear ole Calvin! In Calvin’s little mind, that was HIS milk and HE was entitled to it. 🙄(Typical behavior for a baby monkey). However, he refused to learn ANY survival skills and in the end, the grim reaper was his only friend. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I have been watching these Calvin videos for a long time now almost exclusively. I go through each one and I look for places where Calvin either shows his face clearly or his whole body. I set all the videos to .25 speed every time I hit one of these spots, which is 90% of the video. I have taken about 35,000 images of Calvin so far. I have found some absolute gold watching these videos in slow motion. Calvin is the most laughable of all the monkeys. He shines in every single video. He is always doing something off the wall that is worth watching. I do want to make it a point to give credit to these VO’s for this fascinating work that they give us. They do work hard for the most part and the footage is unbelievable. But I do have one complaint that is so hard not to notice really bad when I watch Calvin videos in slow motion. Many scenes I watch frame by frame for a long time just hoping to isolate clear facial shots of Calvin. And I have gotten many. But this is where I really notice the inexperience of these videographers. I commend them for doing all this, but my goodness I can’t tell you how many times I watch a scene for 20-30 minutes and a part will come along that I have been looking forward to seeing for so long and I go frame by frame approaching it and just 1 second away from the perfect shot the camera all of a sudden just drifts off into the trees and it takes them so long to figure it out and fix it. I have missed so many perfect shots because it happens so often. Some of them are unsteady as a 5 year old. Some of them really have trouble focusing their cameras as well. I just went through this awesome scene where Calvin was riding on Chiko’s belly and Chiko was sprinting toward the camera and the shots I could have gotten from it would have been so awesome of Calvin’s head bouncing everywhere and hitting the ground and then slamming into Chiko’s chest and then getting yanked back down and losing his grip and getting dragged through the dirt for a second. But the VO could not figure out the focus on his camera so it just stayed blurry the whole scene. So bad that you couldn’t even tell it was Calvin down below. And still other VO’s have not figured out in the slightest bit a good strategy for their zoom when it comes to wildlife. It seems pretty clear to me, when they are sitting still you can zoom in until their face touches all four sides of the screen and they’ll hold it sometimes for a while. And then there are times when they start moving and you have to zoom out and give them maybe one extra body length on all sides of the screen in order to predict their movements correctly and keep them in the frame. And there’s times when they are really sprinting and zooming out to make their body like 1/5 the size of the screen to make it easy to follow them. And they just have to stay with the camera and keep the monkey in the shot using those fundamentals. These guys rarely do any of that. They will stay zoomed in all the way when the monkey is vaulting through the trees and as a result the monkey runs past the screen really quick out of focus and blurry and then they jerk the camera to catch up and they just catch their tail end for a second and then race ahead too far and then the monkey races by again. They never just zoom out enough to keep the monkey in the frame. Perfect example of what I’m talking about happens at about 4:20 of this video as Calvin is riding on Casi’s side as Casi is walking through the trees. So she stops for a second and the VO gets retry close to Calvin. But as soon as she moves he tries to follow her at the same zoom and she walks right over and then bounces up and down really hard in the tree. The camera floats low and all you see is Casi’s feet as she bounces. It would have been pure gold to watch Calvin’s head as it bounced around on Casi’s back as he hung on for dear life, each time she jumped Calvin’s body would completely seperate and he would get air and just be holding on by one or two grabbers and then get jerked back down and slam into her back. Those shots would have been so freakin amazing, but just like usual the VO hasn’t been trained and isn’t experienced enough to get these kinds of shots so the camera just drifts off, or gets blurry and out of focus, or even records one of the great scenes but all the way zoomed out so all you see are little specks moving. Anyway, I just had to vent. I’m sure most of you have noticed the same stuff. It’s so frustrating all the great footage that has just been lost for no good reason. The footage of these monkeys is really really great and I love that they are doing it, I only wish they could all just take a Saturday and work on zooming and focusing and leading the animals as they run. I’m making my own videos of Calvin with all of the great stuff I have recorded and taken SS of. Should start coming out soon.

@@user-md3tu2oo1i Thanks for the advice. I got all the hobbies I want. I have been working on revenue streams for a few years now and I have 4, but I am working on my 5th. I read that millionaires have an average of 7 revenue streams so I do that for hobbies. But I workout at the gym everyday and I have an electric scooter that I take out to trails and backroads and ride all the time. I have some pretty awesome cars that I like to work on. I wrestled for a lot of years and now I coach high school wrestling and that is tons of fun. So this Calvin thing got me thinking a long time ago and I am working on things I can do with my Calvin collection. So I am working on some vids for my own channel about Calvin. I don’t know if you are really familiar with him but the dude is very expressive so he makes tons of different faces. So I have matched up a bunch of sayings that I think go with the faces he makes that are pretty funny. I can’t just mindlessly scroll, you know what I mean? I don’t want my time to just be wasted so if I get into something then I am going to try and get paid for my time. Calvin has a following and there are lots of people that follow and watch everything about Calvin, the little monkey that lives for 19 days back in 2020. He was so animated that he provided better videos in his 19 days of life than all the other monkeys have. Anyway, hope that helps. I do everything in moderation. So all the work I have done on this has been spread out over the last 14 months. I’m still entertained by him completely too.

It is absolutely respectable that you would spend the time you did writing that in response. You have some really good things to say. I appreciate it. I am a journalism major, when I tell you I like to write, I mean I forget to eat and drink water some days because I am so engulfed in what I am writing. Got lots to say I guess. Never ever too good to hear another viewpoint or to reconsider my position on things. The way I see it, when we all grew up in our formative years we learned almost everything that we know in that time. Almost every person on Earth gets taught things by their parents and different teachers and role models. But one day something really stuck out to me. I am not my parents and so definitely think very differently than almost everyone that I learned from growing up. Yet for years most of my beliefs had never changed. I still just believed, 3even subconsciously, in things that were taught to me. I came to the conclusion that unless I go back through everything that makes me the person that I am, all of my beliefs, they have to be dug up and reworked. For example, almost everyone takes the political party of the parent that they grew up with. If your folks were democrats then most likely the kids will be standing somewhere in their 40’s and 50’s talking about how they are a democrat but surprisingly had never personally gone through all of that and found reasons why they should believe what they believe. The craziest thing is most people would defend that stuff to the death, and deep down really not even know why. Anyway, I just feel it is super healthy take the time and learn things with a renewed interest and completely open mind instead of believing in the things someone else tells us to. Unless we go through and do the work, we really are just parroting things that we learned as kids because that’s what we’ve always known. A couple of things about what you said. I know this seems like it is way too in depth for some silly monkeys. But I have to ask, have you gone through the comment sections on many of these Calvin videos? It is totally stunning to see how opinionated people are about Calvin. There isn’t many comments like, “Great video guys,” or “I love monkeys, they’re so cute.” Instead there is comment after comment from this seemingly majority American Viewers who cannot just watch and be entertained. They all have to tell the VO’s what to do, how to do it, what they should have done, how they are going to hell, shaming them and all sorts of crazy conspiracy theory type stuff. People seriously just come up with the wildest tale they can spin up in their head and then retell it as fact in place of video proof or any evidence. Everyone has gone nuts. We’re watching a wild troop of animals and these people cannot handle That a baby monkey is having a tough day. They want to blame someone for it and take out all their misguided emotions and the only people they can take it out on are the VO’s who diligently just work to record the monkeys in their natural habitat. They are getting cussed at for not dropping their cameras and running to go help monkeys that they film. The stupidity is incredible. These Calvin viewers are probably the dumbest group of people I have encountered en masse. It’s easy to figure out why though. This is just videos of silly monkeys, but these monkeys are stirring up emotions in people. They just truly can’t comprehend that they are wild animals and instead their mind automatically looks at them from a humanized standpoint. What this means to me is that this stuff isn’t just silly monkeys, this is award winning stuff. Every movie that wins an award does so because it causes us to feel some emotion. Whether it be anger or frustration, or happiness and triumph, you walk away feeling connected to it because it made you cry or made you happy. These monkeys stir up this emotion in people and that is why they build such strong opinions over it. How dare those VO’s just record that monkey when it is hungry, they should rush over and give it milk and save it. None of their opinions and demands are very tenable. Baby monkeys in the wild have to go through a difficult time when they are young because it is the only way that they will be forced to adapt and overcome those situations and that will give them the strength to survive in the wild. Running out and saving every hungry monkey is just stupid talk. Yet you see people in every video demanding that they do this or do that. As far as the other subject. So I always thought in my life that I would get some golden position in some company and work for 30 years and retire and have my family and all that. But none of that has happened for me. I spent a few years in the Army as an infantryman and I have a 100% service connected disability compensation which has completely freed me up in my life to do the things that I want to do. With that being said, I agree with you and I don’t agree with you. People can definitely be foolish in their pursuit of money and it is the cause of all kinds of bad stuff. But I believe that being responsible with money is very important. And I believe that in the time that we have youth on our side we have to consider how we will take care of ourselves when we are old and no longer have the means to work for our money. I heard someone say that every dollar you save is an investment in the quality of your life when you are old. If you pay no attention to it then the time will come when you might be stuck in a trailer park with a debilitating injury and no possible way to make money. Saving money and being responsible is just a means of providing yourself the freedom to choose your path. So many people are hindered by their inability to handle money responsibly. As a result they live paycheck to paycheck, they owe everybody money, they play the lottery hoping on a pipe dream to hit it big. So the revenue streams I talked about are important to me because those things that are paying me are actually my hobbies that I enjoy doing in my spare time. I have just found ways to add to my overall net worth while doing things I love to do. For example, my grandpa left me his stamp collection when he died. I collected and added stamps to it for 20 years and then realized I could sell them on eBay. So I opened a store and I sell stamps on eBay. It gives me the opportunity to play with my stamps and I make a little bit of money while I am at it. I love electric scooters and I have one right now that is amazing and super fast. So what I have been working on is buying a small fleet of electric scooters and I am going to go to places where people vacation and rent them out for the day to make some money doing what I love. Making KZbin videos is an excellent source of revenue. And anybody can do it. Everybody has something that they are good at. If everybody just made KZbin videos about whatever it is they are into and they like, it will attract that niche of people who will watch them and want to know what you know. So I work on channels about law enforcement reform, Christianity, Alvin the monkey, electric scooters, backpacking, wrestling. All my hobbies. So that is what I do and why I do it. By the looks of it she wanted to wean Calvin but coexist with him and provides the protection that he needs at that stage, it could have worked if Calvin adjusted but he wouldn't which eventually led to her abandoning him.

God he was the worst to her. It was never enough and never good enough. Constantly pulling her fur and pinching her and being mean to her real baby. Calvin was awful. But he's a baby so people automatically feel bad for him.
