I’m building MKBHD’s new keyboard as I’m typing this and it’ll be the next video. 👀 It’s gonna be great, but I still need to figure out a cool intro shot. Nothing I’ve tried so far looks good enough. 😅

Even if you click the scroll wheel, you’d still need to use up and down wrist movement for it to actually scroll infinitely, which still stresses the wrist at some point, unlike having your actual mouse scroll to infinitely scroll, no wrist movement is required but only the fingers.

I got a cool looking leather office chair 4 years ago for my desk, and within a year I developed some serious neck and back pain, exercise helped me overcome that thankfully. Sent that to my sisters house for her visitors and customers and half of its leather has basically come off. 2 years ago I purchased a more ergonomic focused chair and I love it so much. No problems aside from light neck pain every now and then from a low monitor position, and a lot of leaning forward while standing, but a monitor stand completely alleviated that first issue and saved up a lot of desk space for studying. I cant vouch for anything else but man this was money more than well spent.

For the scroll wheel, do people know that if you click down on the mouse wheel and then pull your mouse up or down a little bit it will do the infinite scroll just like you’re mentioning? I like the idea of having it a function of the wheel itself, but it also seems unnecessary, since that function is already present.

I think the scroll wheel thing is useless. You can just press down the MMB (middle mouse button) and then drag down the mouse and it'll do the same thing. Also I've been at the pc for the last 10 years like 5 hours a day and I have no wrist pain. You need a better mouse and do some wrist stretching exercises I found that it helps a lot.

I actually used the screen bar in reverse so that it shines the back of the monitor. I use it this way to make it act as a bias light solution. It works wonders. It shines light right at a white wall so the light reflects back to illuminate the surrounding area as well. This allows me to dim my room quite a lot so no light is shining on the screen while keeping my eyes comfortable.

all of these tips are perfect. let me potentially sauce you with a suggestion of my own! Get your chair some memory foam/ cooling gel / mattress topper type material cushions that have bottom velcro sliders, they just fit onto the arm rests of any office chair , run probably 20-40$ and they have changed my life. Imagine your elbows resting on gushy pillows instead of the material the chair arm rests have. Even if urs are comfy, you cant deny this would be even better ! much love !

I came here as I'm upgrading my computer room and need a standing desk and large mouse as Microsoft stopped making my Mouse 5000 and other advice, and I got a few tips, but I am just commenting how well your video was made. Looks very good.

A trackball mouse is also a great setup choice if you have concerns over prolonged wrist strain and desk space. They can be a bit strange to use at first, but with the right settings and practice they are a comfy addition to any work focused setup.

I watched Ahnestly when looking for a good chair. I bought a second hand Herman Miller Aeron for 800AUD and have zero regrets. It sounds expensive, however when I bought it, it still had 6 years of warranty (out of 12) and has a life expectancy of 25 yrs. So 19 yrs of use is pretty damn good for a chair.

Some great ideas on here. I'm getting that uninterrupted power supply, and I pushed my monitor further back on my desk. Time to start utilizing more of this real estate.
