I totally agree with you. This occurs when I read for myself as I have a bad habit of re asking the question if I don't agree with the answer. An awful habit I have, yet I tend not to do this while reading for others. Reading for ourselves is far harder than reading for clients as we have difficulty reading unbiasedly and accepting what we are getting. 👍

i love this!!!! You actually BROKE DOWN THE TAROT CARD!!!!! 11:14 You broke it down in steps on how you interpret a tarot card what you see, feel, and what came to you during the reading!!!! please do more on how you break down a reading i do my own readings and i think that im always wrong because they don't match the same reading as another tarot reader.

Yup did it all I did a reading last night for the first time in a few months. I felt super charged and my deck kept popping up in my mind so I decided to do a reading and it was not only spot on but gave me clarity on certain issues.

Good tips. I’ve been learning for around 6 months. You have to do a lot of repetitive spreads when you are starting. Now I have better understanding I feel the cards saying “put me away now, enough!” I love it when I lay a Celtic Cross say then try a different spread with similar question and the same cards come out after a shuffle. 🤗 I agree when you aren’t clear what you want and aren’t really “respecting” the cards you get a jumbled “go away now” spread.

Soo true and so helpful! It's not just the meaning of the card but what it means to you as well as what strikes you about the card at that particular moment. The cards speak in more ways than just the strict meaning. Mistake no.4.

The 6th ... taking action is so important, I have done it a few times and it worked well. I remember two, one to help my dog and another to improve my health. Oh and one to keep studying tarot, that's how I ended up taking your course in May! All of them were good advices and easy to follow. But ofc if we are to take action in every reading, I think that we will reduce naturally the number of self readings and it will fix some of the previous mistakes mentioned. Great tips here! I tend to do a reading but then quickly forget about it. I like your idea about writing down some action steps to take. I use to write down the entire reading but found I didn't like reading through it all again but your idea to write down a few notes on an action to take away from the reading makes a lot of sense. Also sometimes if I get a card in a reading that just doesn't seem to make sense, I will pull the same card from another deck and something in that image might spark an idea. Thanks for the video, it was really helpful.

I am so glad you talked about how it can be difficult to trust yourself and turn in for guidance especially when you’ve been brought up in a Christian house hold, I found that really really hard. Like I could understand spirit and God without a priests or whoever’s permission, if felt wrong but then I realised like the god I serve should live in me too he doesn’t pick and choose and we are all worthy to have his spirit inside of us, it’s not patriarchal it’s not homophobic or whatever it’s just love

When I first started reading cards I got death a lot, my wife found the death card under the sofa etc! But there has been much change and transformation in my life. I think the tarot doesn’t want to give you a specific answer sometimes and will be murky or pissed off with you!

Hi Jillian, Good to hear you found this helpful :) I actually have several videos on my tarot deck collections and you can see the playlist here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKulq2Vpgq6qsM0 As for shuffling - I usually stop once I feel the deck is shuffled enough, after a min or so. And I draw my cards from the middle of the deck, usually. But honestly, it doesn't really matter how you choose your cards. Hope that helps! Cheers, Kate

I am guilty of all of these. I stopped reading my tarot cards because I never knew what I should be doing with it. Or even how to incorporate it into my day. And being a beginner I'm not sure if I'm reading it right or what they are even referring to. I lead a boring life so my question is always, what do I need to know or something similar to that..

A cat batting at a bag of runes can be as simple as "don't forget to feed kitty or your beloved pet", if you have one, lol. Or go play with your pet and don't overthink too much. The simple things in life also need attention, whatever they may be. An "advanced" reader should be well aware of reading mistakes, depending on how long they've been reading, otherwise; they're not so advanced if they're claiming to be such. It also helps to have read professionally as opposed to always reading for oneself (as there's danger and disappointment in that). This is something that comes to light with much experience as one is always learning. Rephrasing the question is pertinent in a tarot reading as the deck requires direction.

It's personal preference. Some readers recommend it, others don't. Ask yourself: Do I see reversals as necessary?

I have to say one thing…. When you spoke about falling for illusion and referred to someone selling you a bath salt that could be transformative, I was disappointed to hear how you relayed this story. The power of aromatherapy and the possible transformation that can occur is , in my opinion, one of the tools that the magician can have at his disposal for manifesting intentions. So when you say you got into your bath expecting to see something magical happen is like saying that when you draw a tarot card you would expect something magical to happen. Without intention, manifestation doesn’t occur magically. I don’t believe that listening to someone speak about their “self help” tools is falling for illusion any more than listening to your videos is falling for illusion , unless I watch your weekly reading and just expect that some miracles are going to happen in my life without any intention or awareness on my behalf…. Just saying
