Honestly better off getting the pro still. $600 for 64GB ,the pro starts at $799 with 128. It’s $100 more for the pro if you get the 256GB air. And if you do the payment plan, ball out. Get the 12.9 with magic keyboard and pencil. Best Buy let’s you finance it for $80 a month for 18 months which is plenty of time to save up and pay it off beforehand or at least set the money aside so it’s paid off technically, whilst still building credit.

@@Peresecta I’m very happy with the green, but really don’t see much of the colour because I keep it in a smart folio for protection. The magic keyboard drains the battery quickly, so isn’t suitable as a protective cover.

I got this 2 weeks ago to replace my Mac book pro 2011. I was worried it couldn’t replace it for my needs but I was wrong. It’s perfect. Bought the green than when I went to pick it up it looked awful tho. Like the green and blue are so washed out and NOT vibrant at all. Literally looks like a watered down blue/green silver (but like super watered down- not in a good way -and not like the photos on Apple.com) So I returned it for the space Gray which looks beautiful and more expensive, especially with the coral case. To each their own tho.

Actually the chip in the iPad Air is different than the chip in the new iPhone 12s. The iPhone 12s have the M1 chip, while the iPad Air has the A14 Next-Generation Bionic chip. The 2021 iPad Pro has the M1 chip.

I'm hoping whenever the next iPad Pro comes out (hopefully next year), it gives the Pro market users compelling reason over the current iPad Pro, the latter of which makes it a hard buy to justify the price when a lot of the features and design are on the new iPad Air. Pro desperately needs a CPU upgrade over current modified A12 chip (A12Z). I would love to see a variant of the 5nm A14.

In this day an age where wifi is everywhere, do we still need a cellular version? My first 2 iPads (iPad 4 and the first iPad Air) were wifi and cellular but I always used them over wifi or used my phone to hotspot. My iPad Air 4 is wifi only because it’s 2021 and wifi is everywhere.🤣🤣🤣

I am thinking about replacing my 2020 i3 MacBook Air with the iPad Air, Apple Pencil and magic keyboard. I’m a writer and a photographer and work mostly from home, and most of what I do is type and edit photos. I am also a part time student. I also consume a lot of content for research, and just for fun. I need something light and portable that I can take from my bed to my couch, occasionally sit on my desk, and to study, research and read on. And for watching movies in bed of course. ;) Could this actually replace my MacBook Air?

All reviewers gone on about touch id or face id, really the quickest way to start the ipad is with no unlocking. If you are the only person to use the ipad in your house don’t bother with touch or face id. If you have to go out to college or a library sure but otherwise don’t bother I have had every iPad since the first one, 10 years ago and have never needed to use touch or face id.

Honestly if covid has taught us anything it’s that Touch ID is so much more convenient 😂 I gave the 2016 iPad Pro for college and it’s pretty quick and easy to use, similar to no passcode like you suggested
