I am living in Germany .. doctors are sleeping here as well and it’s stated as normal . Every doctor comes immediately when some emergency arrives . Give them respect . They probably did 24 hours shift . They will definitely see a patient when patients comes. I was in India last year . Went to hospital with my aunt at 4 am in emergency . Nurses was awake and they called doctor . Doctor was sleeping but still came within 2 min and checked my aunt . Respect to doctors .

Dude it's legal to sleep while in office because it is said to be that he is tried and he is working for long hours but in India it's only compulsory to work for 8hours even for the police they have two shifts. In Germany,China,Japan and many other countries take work for more then 10-14 hours That's why it's legal

Kal D bro, duty doesn’t mean that everyone should be in uniform always. There are roasters and shifts too.. they will do that accordingly, its not like they will keep standing for 24 hours??? Its not even possible. Full staff of that single day is divided into shifts for attentive duty. Dont judge anyone on ur selfmade facts. Its very much easy to criticise one...doctors ll come whenever emergency staff ll call him or her...otherwise nobody ll wake continously If his duty is there..he is not present even in hospital then its okay to criticise him otherwise he is already there in hospital..
