God bless you all. I do not envy you at all in these circumstances. I remember growing up on the farm in the late 60s, 70s and 80s. I remember as a small boy watching my dad clean the yard with an "A" John Deere with a trip bucket and no cab. My dad never complained; he loved farming. He was in a tractor working a week before he passed at 89 years old. Watching you brings back a flood of memories; thank you for that.

My husband installs DeLaval milking equipment and for 35 years. He has certainly seen many many changes over the years and technology only gets better. For like the last 10 years he has been very busy building and installing rotary parlors in central Minnesota and Eastern South Dakota, and Northwest Iowa USA. Rotaries are in different sizes but he has installed, 64, 106, and 128. So much goes into the planning of a rotary and from start to finish is about 3 years. That 3 years includes everything, right down to getting permits. Most folks really have no clue what is involved. I'm fortunate to be able to see it from start to finish in different phases and it's absolutely amazing. My husband Brad Fischer has always said, DeLaval is the best. Thank you to all farmers that help feed the world.

Jan, the snowstorms challenge your management systems and your equipment. Looks like you accomplished all that needed doing. Good feelings for helping others out are great for reinforcing your self worth, good for you for helping people. It seems like there would be a way to fabricate a snowplow that would fit the side of the loader bucket and clean the bunks. Something that fit the width of bunks, slid the snow up above the sides, then guided it into the feed alley, to be pushed out with the loader. Or, modify a snowblower to fit the bunks.

Hello Ian, first of all I'm always amazed how spectacular your drone footage is. It adds perspective we would not normally get from just ground footage. What a well rounded steady young man you are! You and your entire family are such hard workers. I grew up on a smaller dairy farm and remember the hard work, especially dealing with the harsh winter weather struggling with frozen equipment and water lines occasionally, ugh. I often think I'd like to know more about you, but totally respect your privacy. I've watched your videos for a few years now and always look forward to the next one. You are the kind of person I would like to have as a friend. The way you ended this video set that in concrete. Great channel and great work!!!

Interesting about the doors. In the USA doors on commercial and public buildings generally open out. This is because of a combination fire and crowd disaster that took place at a night club called the Coconut Grove in Boston in 1942. Because of pressure from the crowd trying to escape, those near the door were unable to open it, as it only opened inward.

Have you considered putting chains on the 7130's rear tires? Be a bit noise on the concrete, but give you traction on ice.

Hello Sir, I have a suggestion . Sand and snow freezing in truck box and loader. We always climatized equipment equipment to out side temp before use. When you emptied frozen sand out of truck . Let box become outside temp before use, will cut down sticking and freezeing
@MyPromixdirt16 сағат бұрын
no it will NOT, any moisture in the sand sticks to anything below zero and keeps piling up, i told him about using calcium chloride with water, nothing sticks to that concoction.
