I say enjoyed the action, story really sucked. For example Titan Havik. If you ask me they should’ve made Titan Havik more like Mephiles the Dark. When he uses conflict in the realms against the heroes. Making you know… Khaos. Make him seem like he wants to rule the world but instead break the world. So he doesn’t feel like another Shao Kahn. Make him calculate with his moves. I thought Havik getting Geras was a smart move. Because his is the original and as he said. Has knowledge to the previous timelines. Also maybe give him a theme that chills through your spine.

KZbin loves to pick sides and it's almost always the wrong side. They try to cater to small creators and then punish them for being too small. I can't even be surprised because it's so commonplace anymore. Hope the Animality issue clears up because those videos are awesome

They don't do a very good job at explaining it but Tanya in MK1 is a chosen of Delia (possibly Argus too but im not sure) and that's where she gets her powers such as her "fireball", the enchantments, and all of the extra hands that pop up to help her throughout her moveset. One of the intro dialogues with her mentions she can speak to dragons, summon them, or something along tgose lines so I assumed that's what the deal was when she spoke with Orin telepathically; not that she's telepathic in general.

Sektor could always go invisible in story only. Not sure if you've played konquest mode in Armageddon. Original male Sektor was invisible when he was listening in on Taven at one of his father's temples before knocking him out and kidnapping him for questioning. Great video. Completed agree on the "MK Saw Movie" description for Khaos Reigns DLC story.

my problem with khaos reign is that doesnt really do much for the main timeline, bringing variants that only complicate more the mess we already have while also speedrunning the character develpments without any proper story, the lin kuei dont change despite bi han turning into noob saibot, cyrax and sektor dont change, etc. the story sacrifices a lot for some quick cool moments and end ups filling shallow

Khaos Reigns should have been like Days of Future Past. A time travel story where characters go back midway into MK1's story and the whole third act is rewritten to prevent Titan Havik's arrival. Much like how MK11's third act was redone in Aftermath. Maybe Sindel's death would be undone in the third act, too.

I think its Chaosrealm Plural. Like Havik was in charge of all the realms in his time line. So he probably merged all of them into one big chaosrealm but im still wondering why the Kamidogou are separate.

I felt like the story mode of Khaos reigns was very choppy and felt you have to guess your imagination to predict the story. It’s kind of annoying for that, I do like the characters but I find weird Sektor and Noob relationship. It’s weird… uncomfortable and cringy.

Given the trajectory of this new timeline, and that they’ve already blew threw so many plot points, the next game I predict will start with a Deception re-telling with young Hanzo and Shujinko with Blaze as the villain(because they’re clearly avoiding Onaga) and then have then have Titan Shinok revive the one being as the final boss, while the third game brings Kronika back. Edit: I didn’t mean this as a good thing

As for the Story Expansion I actually love it, sure I have some Issues like it Felt Short, Characters other than Rain should have been taken down by Havik’s Army like Tanya and Li Mei, NRS needs to put Less is More and make the Multiverse into Small Doses, and Titan Havik’s Punishment brings tons of Questions, I Personally don’t hate the Story as Others Intended to Be, MK1 is both a Deadly Alliance Requel and a Love Letter to every MK Era, especially the 3D One, I said this many times before but I don’t mind the Genderbending as long as Gender doesn’t define the Characters and are Accurate to the Lore and with Ketchup and Mustard they didn’t Disappointed as they are the Complete Opposite of Each Other with Cyrax having free will and is a Honorable Warrior that Follows her Humanity and Sektor is a Selfish Control Freek that would Evolve her Clan that will lead to the Cyber Initiative and they were Executed Better than the Last 13 Years, Kuai Liang will never be Hanzo Hasashi, we know this, NRS Knows this but this is a Unique Take on the Character alone as he saw the Man he knew as his Brother to be a Madman in both life and death, I like Harumi as I believe she and Smoke are protecting the Clan after the Wedding Crash, Kuai is a Good Scorpion and I like that he kinda fulfilled his promise to Cyrax in MK11 that as long as He’s Grandmaster Cyrax is always welcome to his Clan which I will admit she’s way better as a Shirai Ryu than a Lin Kuei, the Characters were Good, Titan Havik is a Menace that he’s a Fusion to Deception and MKX Comic Counterparts and I like Khaos Kenshi and Takeda as Side Villains although I have so many questions about their Relationship with Havik, Mainly Kenshi depending on if he’s on Havik’s Weird Chamber that Kenshi might’ve being the Hair Stylist on those Mohawk and those Havik’s from the Khaoseum are Probably Preverted/Mas0chl$t, anyway I love Emperor Rain and Empress Tanya as a Couple as in all honesty they had better Chemistry than Kotal and Jade and Mileena and Tanya as those Relationships feel Forced, even Bi-Han and Sektor are Perfect for Each Other, Johnathan Cage is Hilarious, the Stage Visual and Music and the Free Skins you unlock in the Story are Great, especially the Music giving Classic MK Dark Vibes, I’m happy Harumi survive as there’s Potential to her Character, even in a Kameo, Khameleon and Frost having a Small Role is a Win, the Kamidogus reappearing as a product of Draining a Hoard of Geras’ like a Living Sponge shows Havik can Kill the Unkillable, and Noob Saibot is what I can Describe as Perfect as this Character gets better each Game and unlike his Transformation to a Wraith by Quan Chi manipulating Scorpion and Embracing the Darkness in his Soul to transform him into a Ghostly Wraith, I think what Havik did is Worse as at least Quan Chi made it Quick and Painless, Havik’s Process was Slow, Painful, and Agonizing by mutating his Body with Havik’s Chemicals that Burned his Skins, put his Thoughts into him while Drowning him is a Pool of Waterly Chaos, and Ripped his Soul Out and Stitched it together like a Reverse Version of Frankenstein’s Monster, Ermac, and Geras, no wonder why Bi-Han is pissed at Havik as technically he’s a Undead Creature made of Chaotic Science and Magic and now he’s more Angrier, Arrogant, Egotistical, and Power Hungry and Drunken than when he was as Sub-Zero with his Ambitions to his Order still intact, it’s possible that because he’s has Havik’s Knowledge, or the Boost of the Kamidogus, or Both that made him have the Power to Defeat and Destroy a Titan and yet he still blames his Creator like he was Wronged instead of admitting his Flaws that maybe he’s long gone in his Darkness, plus love seeing Orin returning, Tanya’s Telepathy which Dragons is a Homage to her Armageddon Ending, and Noob being in a Coffin could be a reference to Frost being in a Coffin of Ice from the 3D Era, 8 out of 10, I know Fans think this is the Worst Thing that ever happened to the Franchise but this is Far Far from the Worst thing that happened to this Game Franchise if you know what I mean, it Tried New Things and put a lot Passion from Past Games that I have to give NRS Credit, they are Planting the Seeds to this New Universe’s Future, Khaos Reigns is similar to Aftermath as they relied upon Timelines in the First Place and MK1 was Tying Loose Ends from Aftermath, sure it might be Incomplete but according to Datamines it’s possible we’ll get a 3rd Story Expansion with Shang Tsung’s Island and Tournament as it was Heavily Teased in Dialogues since the Game’s Release, I love Shang but I feel like we should finish his Story, this Started with Shang Tsung so let’s End it with Him while Rapping Things Up with Onaga in the Next Game.

Khaos Reigns is terrible in every possible way: Characters with a simple and lazy development, everyone is stupid, for example: Sub Zero throwing himself into the portal made by Havik without any sense, power scale completely messed up, like how Noob is defeated by Tanya but some scenes later he has the power to defeat the Kaos Titan, wtf? apart from the conveniences of the script: Havik opens a portal exactly where Geras is, when the "heroes" go to rescue him, there are no guards protecting the place and also the forced relationship between Sektor and Noob cringe is hell, apart from other things that i won't even mention it here

Khaos reigns had to be perfect to save this games polarizing perception. For me I play mkx where I got 4 skins per character no dlc story and no additional maps just a crypt I didn’t care about. I get liking the crypt and I get not liking mk1. I love mk1 it’s my favorite fighting game ever. The depth of this game and its mechanics are amazing I’m 300 hours in and only know half the characters (soon to be about 7 more in the next year or 2) and then kameos I know about 70% and can only use them with certain characters super well. Also tip:go rewatch the story and you’ll like it way more than the first time. Boon puts a lot of subtly in it
