As a child in the early 90s I BEGGED my mom for the Dorothy Hammil haircut, and I got it. 😅 I was so cute in my wavy thick brown mushroom cut and girls out uniform. No one could tell me different.

Watching Jaymes work with these horrible wigs is such a journey. At first I get so much anxiety seeing how horrible they look, and just when I am at the height of my anxiety, Jaymes stays calm and says something positive about it or that she has a vision for it. It then gives me a sense of relief as if it’s all going to be ok. And the references and the history amazes me, such an old soul!

No kidding, that's the hair my mom had me in from pre K through 3rd grade. I kept asking her all those years to let me grow it out, mainly being a little jealous that all the other kids got to choose their hair styles, but not me. She said I wouldn't be able to take care of long hair. Well, after 3rd grade, I finally got to grow it out, and I've never looked back. Oh, and the 3rd Upper Midwest Hall of Shame hair style has to be the "white afro," the style where women would get their hair permed every 6 months, with quite a tight curl. That was my mom from the late 1980s all through the 1990s.

Girl firstly, I like the little pink trim on your dress, secondly Ive to agree with ernie, I've seen shiney wigs but that one takes the cake. it's more glistening then those tinsel wigs. As you were teasing it. The wig started to remind me more of this one costume wig i got from a thrift store on halloween years back. i was following one of your videos and it had the same problem. It ended up turning into the wife from Bob's burgar. the hairstyle for this wig reminded me of a Midge doll the one that came with wigs. she had one bob that i know of and it was not like barbies bubble cut it looked more like this wig. Also Girl good job on getting that shine out!
