love is a crazy thing... and for me I guess I feel things really deeply both good and bad. my writing is where I let all of those experiences go, I process when I write and that helps but I always feel it again when I sing. It gets me thru the things I am feeling, and hopefully it might help someone else if they hear my music and are feeling the same way. Music can meet you where you are, I am really grateful for the songs that have meet me where I am and helped me thru it. thank you for your support and kind words it means a lot to me.

I think every generation has trust/relationship problems. Though my generation, 30s-20s year olds, we do get anxious about getting too close to friends, love/partners and family because we know how easy they can destroy our lives if we misplace our trust. Daisy...I'm really impressed with your new song...Vivid. I think your writing has improved greatly. I'm also finding that you are racking up some impressive songs (and recordings) recently like...Rumors...Solo...Don't Cry...as well as this song...About You. I always loved the dialogue at the beginning of this video...and it got me to thinking...if this was the way it was originally recorded in the studio...if so then you and your production team are really bold and imaginative on how you and they approached recording this song. So I went to Soundcloud to see if it was originally recorded the video's way and found that it wasn't. I feel you are the Artist and You should make the decisions for yourself...but if it's not too hard to do...and it may be too hard to do...I think you should think about re-mixing the dialogue into the recording and replacing your current recording on Soundcloud and Spotify and other music sites with the dialogue re-mixed version. If you create a CD and or Vinyl Record...try to place the re-mixed recording with the dialogue on those formats as well. Here's my thinking...your KZbin video has a stronger beginning of the song with the dialogue. I feel the dialogue also serves and strengthens the overall song. Being that I am a veteran songwriter I think that 2 of the most important parts of the craft to writing a song is the beginning and end of the song. This is a very strong and unique beginning for this song...it improves both the song and it distinguishes you as an Artist. It almost puts you in the same conversation with artists like... Pink Floyd The Beatles Public Enemy Soundscape Albums like... ELO -Time The Who - Quadrophenia Soundscape singles like... Freddy Cannon - Palisades Park The Lovin' Spoonful - Summer In The City The Doors - Riders On The Storm Supertramp - Rudy Queen - Bicycle Race / Fat Bottom Girls Queen - We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions Fleetwood Mac - Tusk The Dream Academy - Exile Those are pretty great...artist...albums...and singles...to be in the conversation with...and when doing interviews you could tell how you added the dialogue to the video and then realized it should be added to the released single and album because it made the song stronger and more like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Public Enemy, ELO, The Who's Quadrophenia, Supertramp's Rudy, The Door's Riders On the Storm, Etc. It makes the song's story better...but also...the dialogue added to the song...put it in that conversation of being bold...like those artists, albums, songs...which serves your interests as a young artist...and the dialogue at the beginning of this video is artistically bold...so you are actually truly in that conversation...and for a young artist like you to be in that conversation...is impressive. I feel that that can get you noticed by more people. Sometimes the accidents are the best part of the recording process...even if that accident was made when you were designing the Music Video. Having a strong...Musical Gut...is realizing that some of those mistake are important to add to the song even if they weren't the original idea. If you place the dialogue in your single and re-release it on Spotify, Soundcloud, Etc. you as an artist will be talked about more...and it strengthens your original song and recording. It's actually the strongest hook in the entire music video on KZbin...even stronger than the original part of the recording...and it is one of the essentials that great writers do...take care of the begins and endings of their songs. If it's too hard to do...you can just ignore it...but I wouldn't do that if I were you. The beginning of this song with that dialogue makes this one of your essential early recordings...it represents your early artistic strength as a recording artist and song writer. To ignore that fact creates a boring beginning...therefore not as significant of a song. I would not do that to your song catalog. P.S. I would not re-mix in the revving of the motor engine or the fire sounds in the video to the single or album recording. I think they work in the video...but don't make sense in a non-video format. Once again you are the...ARTIST...so...YOU...get to make that call not me. But that would be just my own personal suggestion. Also the early lyric "This is Hell but I love the heat" is a really good lyric hook...nice job Daisy. My fear with you was that you might not have the drive to become a strong writer...with a strong drive...maybe even a great writer. It was obvious with your visual artistic ability that there is a lot of creative and artistic talent there. The longer your music career goes...the more it appears that you have that drive. Make sure you apply that to your business at times as well. It is your business...not somebody elses. Protect it. Don't let someone else take that business from you...or work against your interests. Consider advice from your Dad (he seems like a good guy...that cares about you and is probably looking out for your interests.). As a recording artist...you and your production team are doing impressive work in your early career. Keep fighting for it...and thank you for making your music. Stay safe...and take care.
