Another nice video...Daisy. I liked the flowers scenery shots...and how you would copy the little girl to create the symmetry that it was you in a different time in your life. Both you and the little girl did a really nice job in each of your performances. Visually...Daisy...your performance is extremely well done. I like how you use your hands throughout the video...I think you do that well....as a performer. I also liked the flowers on the one dress...and the pleats on the other dress...and thought you had cool...rock star...boots...so nice job on the wardrobe. I enjoyed how you shot things in the foreground in a few of the shots just slightly in front of you (My fav was the yellow flower shot.). The flash light transitions were quite original and very cool...and I enjoyed watching the little girl having fun on the trampoline...that was also very neat. But my two favorite shots were where you were on the swing and your head moves from the vertical side of the camera into the horizontal bottom of the camera...that was a really cool shot. The other shot I liked a lot was where the little girl was swinging high and angling in towards the camera...that was also an unusually cool shot (There were a couple other angled swing shots with her that were also very cool.). Very nice video. I really love your visual arts skills...ma'am. Another great video. I feel that this song kind of expands out your catalog a little bit. It's kind of an...Idea Song...instead of a...Relationship Song. Don't get me wrong...Relationship Songs...are a wonderful kind of song to write (I personally extremely love your Relationship Song..."Vivid")...but the...Idea Song...gives you another direction you can go in with your songwriting. It should give you 2 directions you can go in to write more material in your catalog. I feel that this is a good new complexity in your songwriting development. Nice job...Daisy. Further more with the song: Cool Synth part...cool Drums...cool Tremolo Guitar part...cool Lead Vocal Singing...cool Background Vocals (I don't have your vision with background vocals...I've always thought I might need to study the 1950's Doo Wop singers to improve my background singing vocabulary...I always understood lead vocals better. I'll have to work on that someday when I'm less busy.). Basically what I've been trying to work on lately is to learn how to mix the bottom end of a mix. My goal has always been to try to get a digital mix as close to a vinyl record sound from 1953 to 1985. The qualities that I think that has is a bottom end with warmth and body (solidity...fullness...thump...boom...fatness)...transients and a top end that lack harshness...depth of field...width of field...front of field...vocals that are usually open sounding...and a floor of 50hz or higher...and a ceiling of 15khz or lower. Most of this I believe I can get...although may sound digital to some degree...but the one thing I'm not sure I will be satisfied with is the low end. So many digital mixes are so thin in the bottom end. So I'm just trying to figure out every trick in the book to interpolate an analog low end. I am getting some ideas...but can I add them all up into something I'm happy with?...we'll have to see. I've always said when it comes to songwriting about the human experience..."Write the Truth"...but when it comes to sound..."Lie...Cheat...and Steal...for your Sound"! So we'll see if I can add up enough mixing ideas to...Lie, Cheat, and Steal for my mixing sound. 2021 has been a great year for music so far. The best music of the year might be in the first 3 months...they are very strong this year.
