This video is for my dear Maria's birthday, which was two days ago. The person in question has actually already seen it, but I've been waiting to post because I had a gut feeling that the trailer would come out. And, as of right now, it hasn't, so. Cheers to that.
Maria and I ran into each other a little over three years ago and it was meant to be. Like, seriously. I saw her in a crowd and something was pulling me to her. A few days later, I was scrolling through Twitter, and I saw her photo. We've been the best of friends ever since, and here we were, three years later, preparing to cry over Halsey live and watch Daisy Johnson kick ass on AoS together in my little apartment. Unfortunately, due to world circumstances, that won't happen. I just hope this video of our favourite badass to a song by our other favourite badass can fill a tiny bit of that void.

Also, I just want a moment to appreciate how this song was pretty much made for Daisy. She literally says, "Hey, at least you got away from your ex. The guy I had a crush on is now the psycho living in our basement." Sound familiar? (♪ Keep my exes in check in my basement. ♪) I didn't get to put that line in the video since it just blocked out the lyric, but like, please appreciate the parallel.

Oh my God! It is that moment when 3 mins are not enough for such badass editing! This song really fits Daisy so damn much. And this is a very powerful edit. Love this coloring and 'red scenes' as on the 00:16 - 00:17. I even cannot imagine how many efforts you put in this video! Uh, WOW. Apparently I watched this when you first posted it and I vaguely remember thinking this was badass, but I only knew one thing and one thing only about AOS so I didn’t really freak out at the time. But now I’m two weeks into watching the final season while simultaneously bingeing the previous seasons (thank you to Daniel Sousa’s character for dragging me into the AOS fandom). And I also just heard Nightmare for the first time yesterday, and the basement line also stood out to me, so now I REALLY AM FREAKING OUT OVER THIS VIDEO. I love your emphasis on “recognize the weapon in my mind” because she’s come so far from collecting the broken pieces of her life and looking for her family. Like, a couple days ago I was still in the part of season 1 where she was complaining about her training, and then she committed to the training and started becoming an actual fighter. And the “real nightmare” bridge hits so much sadder with Daisy, even if 80% of this is still ahead if where I’m at. I’m so excited someone else saw these parallels with this song, and that it was someone whose work I admire!
