Daito Ryu and Aikido, a big aiki family! Aikido got its basic techniques from Daito ryu, and Aikido returned the favor by popularizing Daito ryu.

Aikijujutsu is a beautiful art of removing the opponent . This inspirational Musik fits perfectly to the dramatic scenario of this scene . Watching something like this is a pleasure to the soul of a warrior 🥋

Rule #1: MMA bro keyboard warriors who like to shit on styles do not know what they are talking about. Yes, Aikijutsu is effective, in fact as someone who has trained in multiple martial arts i think Aikijutsu is one of the arts most directly practical and transferable to street self defense. Also, every martial art within the realm of convention is effective (though not every instructor is good at teaching it).

I like there is no color system in this class. Somehow color system in aikido always make me feel like kindergarten.

i practised aikido and up until my shodan black belt in 2008, all i wore was a white belt, just like ALL kyu students in all 4 or 5 dojos in the city. I dont know what happened (i moved out of the city) but when i checked on facebook a couple years ago, all students had colorful belts. Its a wrong system, students focus on their color and from their fellow students, you get competition, orange thinks he is more advanced than yellow, etc etc. the color system is just exactly invented for the reason we DONT need or want in non competetive aikido. :-( I still practise and teach, no color system for my students, and i am still shodan :-) i consider the whole dan system just a rat race, there is no real value in dan system only the danger that ppl get full of themselves and start to compare their ranks and put martial value on that.

@@JustMe-vz3wdcolor belts were added by gichin funakoshi because they make it easier for the instructor to see what level everybody is at.
