Can't go wrong with a daiwa! The higher fast gear ratio is better for use to cover water faster but a lower gear ratio will give you more power when cranking.

Hi for carp I would use a 4000 and up size.

If there's the carp and that body of water filling in w/ time it can certainly be detrimental to the bass.

Yes it ruined such a good place, I remember as a teen seeing huge 20 plus inch bass on the edges hanging out and we used to catch huge 24 and larger pickerels now there is hardy any pickerels at all in the place I think the carp eat up the eggs they lay in the weeds!

Hi yes it's ok I will be comparing the last years regal model to this one , the last years regal is kind of the same but not the LT lighter carbon frame it does weigh more and the drag is not as smooth...but I fixed it...and it has the air bail..I prefer the older version with the air bail it seems to make the string wind on better on start up... wish this LT model had the air bail.

I suppose you could but I would wipe it down and clean it up and oil it after using it in salt water especial if any salt builds up on it.

Hi the regal LT has way more bearings they are close I think the revrose LT has the air bail.

Has this reel got felt drag washers or carbon? Also is the handle knob riveted or does it have a screw? If you pop off the chrome cap of the handle knob you'll know. Only reason I ask this is I want to change the handle and you can't do this if it's riveted. If it does have a screw underneath the chrome cap of the knob then then the knob is changeable without having to drill. In other words it'll be a direct fit. Thanks in advance for your help mate!

Hi I am pretty sure the nob is stamped on, and it has felt washers I think I purchased carbon washers and put them in mine... look at my regal and regal LT comparison video I did a mod to the regal so the drag works smoother. Thanks

@@jimikunnaskari8897 For the price it's hard to beat the regal LT ..I love shimano the best but I don't think you can get a shimano at the LT's same price that will be as good as it you would need to pay more for a shimano to get the same features as the LT.

The carp come from people dumping their minnow buckets into the lake. Don’t do it people, just dump them on a bank somewhere or buy an air stone and save ‘em for next time.

Hi depends how much you want to spend and what type of fishing your doing. I would say 7ft med power would be good for most bass and big types of fish.. Berkley lightning rods are really good for the $

I personally like Diawa and Shimano but they are very over rated. Are they smooth? Hell yeah but they break sooooo easily. I have had a Revos and Regal break on me within a year. While my Quantum Throttle II is just as smooth, has a full aluminum body, 11BB and laser cut aluminum gears for the same price as the Revos. Please everyone don’t not buy Shimano or Diawa. Buy Quantum, they are better for less money.
