I have a Saltist BG 30 and just caught about 15 tuna with it ranging from 15-30 pounds. Not one issue. I've had it for 3 or more years, too. It's a work horse. Supposedly the blue is an improvement on the black/gold.

Correction at the 5:00 minute mark. It is not full aluminum construction. Please look into the internal of the reel there is a plastic flange inside

Can i go deep sea fishing with a daiwa saltist 35h and handle average sized mahi mahi, tuna, yellowtail probably ranging from like 20-35lbs? Also what lb fluorocarbon should i use when fishing these!?

For sure but you might want to buy the 50P instead of the 50H -- it has a lower gear ratio for more power. Main line? 30-40 lb mono on or 80 lb braid. Use a thick mono shock leader and a wire trace.

Those big grinders do the job well. I use Daiwa 50 multipliers on two of my heavy surf rigs and Spin Fisher and Slammer 8500 grinders on the other two shark Outfits.

Daiwa has focused on planned obsolescence so quality is going to get worse with every new range.
