Nice Review !! I've had mine about 4-1/2 months , it was feeling a bit "geary" out of the box (still smooth though) and making a little bit of noise. I ordered a new Carbon/Cork handle (90 MM) and a drag clicker kit. when I opened up the reel ; there was no grease on any of the gears ? so greased her up and oiled the bearings... Silky smooth now, with no noise whatsoever. I really like it now, thinking I should get another !! spooled with 10# Trilene Big Game mono on a 13 Fishing med/hvy Blackout rod, been slaying em on finesse jigs 1/8th -5/16 oz with a creature bait trailers

Daiwa is famous for that. That why everytime I buy reel from daiwa, it is better to regrease it.
