You're getting to experience the same thing we did while he was at Mississippi State but please remember that Dak's Mom had the biggest hand in how Dak turned out. While the majortiy of people will be celebrating Mother's Day, Dak and his brothers must go through another one without their Mom. I think after Dak's Mom passed that Megan Mullen stepped in where she could but it still doesn't fill the void left. Always keep in mind Dak's Mom and continue to thank her for being the best Mom she could be.

Dak we are practically neighbors..come by to visit our family when u r in plano... We love u..Fight Faith Finish...when i was going through my physical therapy on the tread mill..trying to strengthen my knees ..and wanted to quit ...i would repeat those words...and it got me through.

I just watched a video of him in his freshman year and his southern accent is very strong. I wonder why it changed, considering he was still playing in the south.

Reading a lot and improving in English can eventually help with pronunciation and general English skills that can translate to lessening one's accent, even unintentionally. I've lived in the South my entire life but I read a lot growing up. I do have an accent but it is generally not a strong one because of my English skills. The same probably happened to Dak. In only five years of college, he achieved a Master's Degree. That most likely involved a lot of reading and writing that translated to better pronunciation both mentally and verbally.
