Stephen A Smith don’t really hate the Cowboys, and others like Skip Bayless don’t love them either !! There playing there role for tv that’s it and fools still fall for it, yeah it’s good for tv and all but it’s NOT legit !! Don’t fall for the 3 and 4 letter networks BS narratives and sometimes flat out lies !! Your a Dallas fan like I am, do yourself a favor and watch Mike Fisher, Law Nation, and many other you tube talents. Mike Fisher has covered the Cowboys for like 30 plus years, hell, he lives right next to the star, he’s there with players and coaches every day…..Fish is my number 1 reliable Cowboys source !! Law is damn good to !!

Amen it makes their little brains explode...I despise SAS and Skip for ruining football discussions..they've trained idiots to think backwards about football and basically say lies that get repeated so much people think they're true when Google will straight up call them liars...it's WILD a QB could go 32/33 and SAS call that dude inaccurate and people wont bother to check because their stupid sheep...then in all social media all the moons will talk about how inaccurate that QB was...it's infuriating when we literally havs Google on our phones that anyone who knows football has to teach people the basic facts constantly thanks to them douches that know less than my 70 year old aunt about the sport and she doesn't even like football

Dak has gotten better at the position every single year and *started* at an MVP level in 2016. He was the rookie of the year and got MVP votes in his first year. And then he showed no signs of stopping. He's got Peyton Manning's brain with better athleticism and Roger Staubach's leadership. It's only a matter of time before this guy takes the cowboys to the big one.

Last year, despite missing games after an injury, Dak had the most interceptions in the NFL. While he's good this season, he has not gotten better every single year.
@Mekhami

@@slamueldunk9416if you didn't watch any of those games, or those throws, and get all your information from a stat sheet, you might be inclined to think that. but if you had a brain and used it, watched the games and saw it, you'd see that dak had 7 of 15 interceptions go off the hands of his receivers, and more that were freak bounces. dak's "turnover" narrative was purely media driven and not based in reality.

@@Mekhami I've watched every single game of Dak's career. He destroys weak teams and weak defenses but then he struggles and gets exposed against good teams and good defenses. Nothing has changed so far this year. I'm hoping he can carry this phenomenal play into meaningful games, but we'll see. I will NEVER drink the Dak Kool aid until he wins at least 2 playoff games in a row. He's fooled me (and you) wayyy to many times.

It's great to see Dak develop! The NFL these days has changed. It used to be QBs were given years to develop and in many cases they spent years learning from a veteran before playing. Steve Young, Favre, Rodgers etc all took a decent amount of time. Manning took many years to win a SB. I also really think that Kellen Moore stunted Dak's development rather than helped it. Dak has taken a bit step forward working with McCarthy this year. We'll see what the future holds but they are on the right path IMO.

The Cowboys are very talented, built with a lot of speed and can score with offense, defense and special teams. They may have only played subpar teams, but if a good team goes to sleep on them, they may wake up being behind by 3-4 TDs in a 10 min span. This team reminds me of the Cowboy team of the mid '60s with weapons in all phases, outscoring their opponents by 200+ pts. The problem with those teams was the bad weather, Ice Bowl of '67 and the 24° wind chill in Cleveland in '68. They may not seem to be championship material, but they could be.

@@alexv5581I agree. And while i'll be the first to admit that's because he wasnt the passer he is today. Some of that is owed to the fact he just didn't have good receivers to throw to in 2016 (Dez and Witten were washed). They couldn't create separation (which he can overcome more today), but is a recipe for disaster for a rookie QB. Which is why they were very conservative w/ the play call. good point. that throw to Ferguson he shouldn't have made with all of those defenders around. I think it was because he was locked in on Ferguson and Ferg on those tough throws is more likely to come down with it than not. got to remember this too, Cooks first year with Dallas and he doesn't have a lot of games built up to establish that level of trust with the QB. Ferguson is in year 2 with Dak. so that level of trust is higher.

You’re exactly right. And when Dak leads us to a Super Bowl victory I bet that won’t even be enough. The haters will be saying “Great QB’s win multiple championships”. As long as that Star is on his hat he’ll never get the credit he deserves and will always be the reason they lose. That’s the way it is and that will never change. I honestly believe that with Dak in the drivers seat a 6th Super Bowl ring is not far away!

Cowboys offense is ridiculous thanks to Dak...team is Averaging 32.3 points a game.Dak has played lights out but until he takes out a great team he won't be in the MVP conversation.Philly coming up next week so he has a chance to shut up all the haters.Cowboys will beat Philly at home

Watch him play a defense team above 500, then we'll anoint the kid, until then he has two playoff wins. Period. Never been to a championship, not even close, coming off an atrocious season last year. He has to earn it, he certainly gets paid like the best.

He fractured his thumb at the start of the season. Even when he did come back and play, it wasn’t 100%. Even then, I wouldn’t say it was season last year was atrocious. The cowboys were #4 in PPG. The cowboys leaned into the run a lot due to the circumstances (plus Pollard + Zeke combo was nice), but he was still at the helm of the offense. I’m pretty sure you’re solely considering his interception stats. Coming off a fractured thumb in Kellen Moore’s scheme was a recipe for disaster in that regard.

All Dak has to do is win against better teams. Win a divisional round playoff game, just once. We don't hate him, get a dictionary people, for crying out loud. Stop calling people who don't believe Dak is an MVP unless he can win against better teams and not look like a deer in the head lights in a divisional playoff game.

As a Cowboys fan, Dak misses way too many easy passes. I don think he can lead. Too many seasons he has let us down. I hope I am wrong about him this season. But in the past when the game was on Dak's shoulders, he didnt deliver This season, this take was plainly on display with the Chargers, San Fran, Eagles and Panthers. In fact Panthers game Dak misses 3 TDs by overthrowing. Romo never had this kind of talent. Romo never had this good of a line, Romo never had this kind of defense. No way Dak gets the MVP over Purdy and I hate 49rs

The Giants are 4-8 because the Cowboys put them there. Otherwise, they would be 4-6, maybe 5-5, if they got a favorable call at the goalline vs Buffalo, who lost to the Patriots and came short of a win in Philly in OT. Look at all of these current NFL teams and how they play. Look at their strengths and weaknesses. Any team can be had.

Wait how many Championship games has Dak played in his career? ....wait for it ZERO. nuff said. He DOESN'T belong in the MVP convo. They've beaten ZERO 500+ teams this year and is riding the wins playing sub-par last place -500 and lower teams. Poooleease.

*DAK may not be the HATED MVP, but he is average to above average moments as a player. On the other hand, PURDY, the last pick of the NFL, may not receive the respect he deserves from the NFL MEDIA, but his exceptional #1 measurements are a clear indication of his talent. It's truly a shame that such accomplishments are being overlooked..*

Purdy is in a system where near perfection is a necessity. He delivers when things are set up for him and he does deliver. I give him credit for that. Purdy cannot carry a team thru the course of an NFL season. All the pieces have to be in place for him to succeed. 49ers are good when things are going right, but when tragedy happens, things fall apart. Like a Dixie cup can hold water, but falls apart when pounded by rain.
@Tigersmundo

System BS response so predictably. Cowboys still have JerryJones system so that's a proven no winner system. Your not seeing Purdys growth from last year to this alone. Last time cowboys did any shit it was with how about them cowboys Jimmy Johnson system

Most teams won't use their star QB to run up scores on bad teams. Simple as that. They are purposely pushing his numbers up for this very reason. Chances are they will get to play a very crappy team in the first round of the playoffs and finally get a post season W. But the reality is they will then need to win 3 straight against teams with winning records and will have no real shot past that. The upcoming Seahawks game at home, Seahawks are not that great but they have a good chance with a home game to finally beat a team with a just barely winning record

If that's the case why was Dak pulled in the 4th quarter of those blowouts? If not, he'd probably lead the league in pass yards and TDs. This is the most I've ever seen a backup play with a NON-injured starting QB. What are you even talking about? And what do you mean "finally get a post season W"? The beat TB before losing to SF last year.
