Dakar Portraits: Kove Rally Team -

Starting on a Sea Camp on the shores of the Red Sea and ending on the opposite side of the Arabian Peninsula, where the competitors will discover the coast of the Arabian Gulf after a four-day adventure through the Empty Quarter, including the marathon stage, the 45th edition of the Dakar is the toughest one since the rally came to Saudi Arabia. Packing almost 5,000 kilometres of specials into a prologue and 14 stages, the route is a true test of extreme endurance.

I'm a Chinese and I brought a Kove 321RR bike a few months ago. I really like it and it's good to see Kove's achievement on international races. Can't wait to see their new bikes, such as 800X and 400RR.

Nice to see something about KOVE in the Rally and english language. TBH not everything is chinese on the bike , e.g. EFI is from BOSCH ;-) Sunier did very well in the Dakar and i´m really impressed about his performance. The bike itself does really well despite the fact that it lacks about 15hp to the top manufacturers like KTM and Honda. Personally i would say that the Sherco will be in the same category about horsepower like KOVE but i don´t have any exact figures on the french brand (450 Factory Enduro put´s out about 50hp) No technical issues after 7 stages so far that´s really nice news for possible customers of the bike. I wish KOVE all the best for the 2nd half of the Dakar and Sunier finishing TOP50 or may TOP40 would be a nice bonus! Personally with a TOP rider i believe that a TOP30 up to TOP20 finish could be possible in 1 or 2 years but TOP10 or better , sorry, i doubt....but on Dakar everything can happen 🙂 As i am a potential customer (if they get retailers/importers for the EU market with a reasonable amount of power) i´m glad that the BOSCH EFI is doing well and no major technical problem arised so far.

Love this. The Kove is the best-looking bike at the DAKAR too. Can't wait for Kove to come to NZ. - Road registered, 500cc, 60hp, mellow high torque engine, in a package weighing around the same as a CRF300 Rally, for a little more $ than the Honda would be very tempting.

Congratulations at Kove rally team. I'm happy to wach one bike like a Kove in the most strong rally of the world, making a good race and without mechanical problems. Very braves. I see in one video when de chairman trhy one bike to solve somme defect, this is a real implication of the boss in the ends product. I'm owner of one bike of this label, imported in my country under the name "macbor xr5", and can tell you, is a very good quality vehicle and no one problem. My best wisess for this team and waiting the nex year came more chinesse labels.
